It's amazing how the fireworks industry is so compartmentalized, and the fact that it's across different countries throughout the world. I know that most of the manufacturing and packaging happens in China, as with many of the household products that we buy from our local retail stores. But fireworks are not exactly necessities that we use in our every day lives and since there are a lot more stricter rules and regulations that are followed, you would think that it would be better off for the major firework companies in the U.S. to make their own 1.4g products right here in the states. Of course the costs would definitely increase on just the price of labor alone. What this lady is doing may not seem much to the average consumer who buys these canister shells, but to companies like Jakes Fireworks, the value of her work is VERY HIGH because her job (and what she earns for it) allows them to keep the price of the Excalibur shell kit below $100. Yes, it is cheap labor, but it's also a reason why we don't have to pay an arm and a leg in order to enjoy this hobby. At the same time, she seems to enjoy what she does judging by her work ethic and of course...her smile. I enjoy watching videos like this because it gives us a little insight to how we're able to enjoy (and afford) our 4th of July shows.
Almost all canister shells are the same, except 5inch 60g max loads. All this comparison and price difference is bs. $100 box is as good as the $200 99/100 times.
