Wigs are the bane of my existence. They never look right when they're synthetic, and that one had a few hours of work put into it still. Unfortunately human hair ones are VERY expensive, but I guess that's the price we'll have to pay in the future. - S
samandniko The wigs were the only thing that took me out of the experience a bit, so that would be a good idea in the future. But only if it doesn't break budget, don't want you guys to go broke xD
There are far too many fake profiles on every single site now, and combine that with the 10 percent rule: - 10 percent of people you message will write back, - 10 percent of that 10 percent will actually have genuine interest, - 10 percent of that 10 percent will end up wanting to talk on the phone or meet you, - 10 percent of that 10 percent will actually want to date you again, - 10 percent of that 10 percent will actually end up becoming intimate/romantic. - 10 percent of that 10 percent will actually be a genuine 'soulmate' connection leading to long-term involvement. the odds of actually achieving any real results (unless you just use the sites for sex hookups not anything serious) are abhorantly awful. Even sex hookup sites like Pof, tinder, etc. give poor or no results unless you are gifted with alpha personality traits and/or perceived as being a potential source of financial support to the 'single mum with kids'.
I have seen the final edit first and I must say I am so shocked how small the resources were in reality (seeing the making-of now...) and that how the result looks amazingly big-budget-like! You guys are the future because the final thing was so entertaining (and not just a film-skill-and-tech-demo) it was actually like watching a really good movie! Keep on rolling guys and something big will happen with you!!!! And thanx for the encouraging work that you show for the world!!!
13:35 My friend died in similar environment. He slipped and hit a rock with his head, after that fell into waterfall that was a few meters away. Don't do stuff like this if you care about your life and people who care about you. After one year after his death his mom and dad are in hospital with brain insult. They still didn't recover after his death.
We could die every time we cross the road but we still do it, Danger is all around us and if you live your life looking for it and trying to avoid it, then you might aswell never leave your home.
@Corrdidor Crew you guys just got together in your spare time, paid for the props out of pocket and decided to make a cool live-action short movie? That's so awesome.
I knew that was clint! Also great video. I REALLY enjoyed the bts it was really well done, specifically when you would show how the shot was filmed in full scene then in the corner the finished shot. Great job!
Loved this short! Lord of the Rings is my favorite movie trilogy. Followed by The Hobbit and then my daughters favorite Star Wars. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into these!
I wish I was talented enough to work with these guys and the rest from Node as well. They all seem like awesome guys to hang and work with and it seems like it would be an amazing experience. Sadly, even if I were to make it out there I really have nothing to offer.
I like the GoPro hat. I wonder if they sent it to them because they loved the Superman video, or if they gave them a bunch of free stuff with the condition that he wear it in an upcomming video. Maybe Sam just bought it becasue he liked it. That is always a possibility too.
Its just dawned on me, the area with the tree is the same place where Lindsay Sterling and Peter Hollens did the fight scene in their Skyrim cover, and the same are where FreddieW shot his Skyrim Badass video.
There were some really lush areas that were close to the mountains of Mordor. As long as you didn't wander into Gorgoroth or moved into the mountains themselves you were pretty much fine.
I know a lot of the VFX was live streamed. But could there be some type of VFX breakdown/tutorial for those who missed the stream? Or a reference back to an older video where 3d swords and sword fight scenes are discussed and showed?
Love seeing the Behind the Scenes, you all did a great job! - I said this on the actual non-behind the scene video and I will say it again, if the hair of the main guy was better and a few tiny things here and there where improved upon, I would sooooooooo want this as a full movie it was great
How many days do you guys take for the production stage? It's amazing how you guys could create a hollywood quality movie with just few crew members. By far this is the best vid you guys done. I was hoping you could also do a behind the scene during post-production stage, like the editing/sounds stuff.
great job ur actors did good job in future i can see a full movie from you guys cant wait for more just sucks seems like it take long but i can see why it would
So some interesting facts about Utah, it’s one of the most geologically diverse states in the nation, and it’s scenery has been used in many different Hollywood films. It’s not uncommon for me to watch a movie and recognize that as a place I’ve been. I think it’s apt that when trying to get similar scenery as New Zealand, you guys came here! Edit: If anyone is ever looking for similar locations to these without having to be in the city, Sanpete, Emery and Juab counties have some great spots😊
Just curious, was this shot before the FAA's new regulations on drones? Considering you guys do such awesome work with drones (the Superman video is how I found you and why I subscribed), I'm wondering where you fall in their new restrictions and how this will effect filmmakers in the future. Any thoughts?
Looks like you've nailed the Hollywood style here. The smooth pans and the drone shots are amazing, and the make-up rivals the recent Hobbit movie. Now that you've got the style, I think you should focus more on substance. Maybe do a video that's completely character based rather than effects based. It doesn't have to be long, and you can go back to the more exciting action stuff after, but I'd like to see that sort of thing from you.
You guys have improved so much! I can see big leaps in your directing, storytelling, choreography, vfx, sound design, and cinematography. I can only give constructive criticism on your sword fighter. He seemed off balance most of the time. I feel like he would have seemed a lot more powerful if he had more precision with his movements. I know that takes hours of practice, and I don't have a solution that fits your budget haha. I just wanted to know what your take on that was. Anyway well done! I enjoyed this movie a ton and I hope you guys keep following your dreams.
looks like you've addressed this in other comments already, but I thought everything was top notch minus the wigs. Also, I think this had perhaps the best ending of any of your videos =)
Considering that LotR was filmed in New Zealand (Fun fact: they also filmed Power Rangers there) I think that the choice of Utah was a good one as it has stood in for a lot of locations ( not all fantasy, but some).
7:08 love how the orc is still in character!
So cool seeing how this stuff is filmed, but I swear he was begging for a broken ankle/leg/head at 13:35....
He can just VFX it
Or balls may be. If his left leg was a lilbit more left. The rock was slippery
Wren being Wren.
Everything looked soooo good, except for the main characters hair haha.
Wigs are the bane of my existence. They never look right when they're synthetic, and that one had a few hours of work put into it still. Unfortunately human hair ones are VERY expensive, but I guess that's the price we'll have to pay in the future. - S

Sneak onto a horse farm and shave all the manes! Free wig hair for everyone!
Kevin Stempien Or if you're looking for curly hair go for the sheep wool XD
Yeah that must have been the worst wig I've ever seen.
Clint is amazingly recognizable even under all that makeup, yet it didn't break the illusion. Nice acting job!
I wish they did an editing breakdown
You could see some editing like color grading on streams... in the past
Wojtek Kiraga
i wish they did like freddiew used to do it, some fx breakdown, coloring etc
Blackk Jesus Yeah, their BTS/breakdowns videos are great.
Be careful what you wish for...
samandniko Blackk Jesus ...because your wishes may come true...
"keep me stable, when im not able" - sam
lol :D
9:58 Wren has a tattoo? Thats awesome!

@@stevethea5250 what a funny, random, unrelated copypasta.haha. Have a like.
@@stevethea5250 I like this.
I'd love to see some vfx bts for this, it looked outstanding.
They'll likely release some VFX tips. They also showed some live vfx of this video on their Twitch stream. t.co/17aLKqxmZJ
i wanna be a person who makes video games any one else
I have seen the final edit first and I must say I am so shocked how small the resources were in reality (seeing the making-of now...) and that how the result looks amazingly big-budget-like! 4:07, that genuinely gave me a fright, because I thought the kid legit stabbed him in the stomach! 😂
Damn Clint, good work!

Welcome to utah that's all there is all the time
Even utahs biggest cities are filled with water gullies and all sorts of stuff like that
why the fuck would you mention that now ? negative minds
Brain insult? What?
We could die every time we cross the road but we still do it, Danger is all around us and if you live your life looking for it and trying to avoid it, then you might aswell never leave your home.

This is what makes CorridorDigital such a cool outfit. Awesome films and a comprehensive look at how they put it together.
I can imagine Luke Lafontaine's (Sword Fight Choreographer) voice as Jonah Hill.
lol hello brother.
holy shit i was just thinking that too! i was looking away from the screen and thought i heard jonah hill come on lol was confused
He looks like Ricky Gervais.
4:48 im so done lol
I sometimes like the behind the scenes more than the actually because you learn how the do there filming
Loved this short! Lord of the Rings is my favorite movie trilogy. Followed by The Hobbit and then my daughters favorite Star Wars. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into these!
That river stunt at the end tho... i've learnt my lesson where doing stupid dangerous things is concerned.
Did you use real flow to simulate the blood? Looked great!
The acting of the orcs was really freaking good.
Great video and amazing special effects. Sam and Niko congratulations :D
Aaaaand the final thing is freaking epic. Didn't expect anything less from you guys! :D
AMAZING. Thank you so much for this video. I wish this was a full length feature film
I wish I was talented enough to work with these guys and the rest from Node as well. They all seem like awesome guys to hang and work with and it seems like it would be an amazing experience. Sadly, even if I were to make it out there I really have nothing to offer.
Your work is like always amazing, but... Clint! That was... Respect!
I like the GoPro hat. I wonder if they sent it to them because they loved the Superman video, or if they gave them a bunch of free stuff with the condition that he wear it in an upcomming video. Maybe Sam just bought it becasue he liked it. That is always a possibility too.
Had em from a few years back actually! Gopro swag
samandniko Where can you get them?
Clinton Dorr Cine Gear Expo
everything in the video looked great except the ranger's wig, lol
Once again you guys did an amazing job!
Would love to see a VFX breakdown at some point
Its just dawned on me, the area with the tree is the same place where Lindsay Sterling and Peter Hollens did the fight scene in their Skyrim cover, and the same are where FreddieW shot his Skyrim Badass video.
glad to see Utah was where it was filmed love the country around my state
Thank you so much for all of your hard work! You guys always go above and beyond!
Aloha
My favourite video of yours! Sweet mountains
Fantastic, loved the possession scene in the forest!
I just watched the alabine armour bts and now this. Honestly incredible to see the start and then how far you guys have made it
Badass locations and FX. Love the shots as well. Great job guys!
The production value you got in the end is on par with a 90's Hollywood fantasy film. I started hoping those end credits where opening credits!!
What's with that hair at the top of the screen?
its the microphone for the camera you know the broom kinda thing
probably a dead cat on a shotgun mic
DashSVK Yes, this must be it. Makes the most sense.
DashSVK But they're indoors tho
Joshua Lonsako It's still necessary for breeze picked up from ac units and from the mic being moved around.
There were some really lush areas that were close to the mountains of Mordor. As long as you didn't wander into Gorgoroth or moved into the mountains themselves you were pretty much fine.
God damn do I love watching Clint's work.
I would have cried if I got that beautiful aerial shot of the guy running. :')
I love watching behind the scenes stuff, entirely because I want to get into this sort of thing
Oh My Gosh I wish you were coming to Utah I would totally have come to see you!
I go to utah so much. Never been in la before
I know a lot of the VFX was live streamed. But could there be some type of VFX breakdown/tutorial for those who missed the stream? Or a reference back to an older video where 3d swords and sword fight scenes are discussed and showed?
So that's why you haven't released anything in like, a month . . . worth the wait, though! :-D
nopotato Was that a fat joke?
Levi Stutzman
"After 9 years in development, hopefully it has been worth the weight."
Dudes! Next time you're in Utah let me know and I can take you shooting!!!
Keep up the great videos. Corridordigital and Node are my 2 favorites.
Love seeing the Behind the Scenes, you all did a great job! - I said this on the actual non-behind the scene video and I will say it again, if the hair of the main guy was better and a few tiny things here and there where improved upon, I would sooooooooo want this as a full movie it was great
Love the gopro hat on Sam How did he get it....was it from gopro speech at nab
10:05 I want that on the right, near the guy with the surfboard.
Amazing work as always!!
That last running scene was amazing.
You guys are a huge inspiration. Keep it up!
How many days do you guys take for the production stage? It's amazing how you guys could create a hollywood quality movie with just few crew members. By far this is the best vid you guys done. I was hoping you could also do a behind the scene during post-production stage, like the editing/sounds stuff.
As soon as I saw that blue orc I thought, "That has to be Clint."
Man, would love if you guys recorded some of the "live" VFX and color sessions you streamed over twitch.
Great vid guys. U really captured The Lord of the rings atmosphere.
great job ur actors did good job in future i can see a full movie from you guys cant wait for more just sucks seems like it take long but i can see why it would
Amazing VFX on that mind control bit.
That would be rad if you could give us a little tutorial on how you composed the magic smoke looking FX!
That's so close to where I live!
Hey me too! I think I could even see my house!
Muy buena escenas que son verdaderamente hermosas. Me ayudo mucho mirar este vídeo.

Could you tell us how do you did the whole cgi Part, with the liquid Simulations, body splitting and so on? Would be so awesome!
Amazing stuff and thank you for sharing!
Wow ive been looking at videos for the movi, the red camera and dji stuff. Also new drone?
I hope they release a post editing video because I find that stuff pretty cool
Hello ! What is the name of the song 00:40 to 00:47 ? :)
You guys rock! I'm waiting for your feature to be released!
Just curious, was this shot before the FAA's new regulations on drones? Considering you guys do such awesome work with drones (the Superman video is how I found you and why I subscribed), I'm wondering where you fall in their new restrictions and how this will effect filmmakers in the future. Thank you niko for saying that my home state is a very beautiful place.
Is it bad that sometimes I enjoy the behind the scenes videos more than the actual videos?
Niko is such a rebel.. Not wearing a man scarf like everyone else.
Looks like you've nailed the Hollywood style here. The smooth pans and the drone shots are amazing, and the make-up rivals the recent Hobbit movie. Nice S & W shirt at the starting!!

CorridorDigital please can you show us how you did the vfx! CGI blood! PLEASE!!!!!!!!! would love to know how!
What rig is Sam using at 5:50? I've been looking for it for quite awhile now XD
freeflysystems.com/ They used most of their stabilizers and gimbals from free fly systems.
FlyCam 3-Axis
Alright. Thanks guys!
Dickson TWY It is a MoVi.
Hey Sam and Niko! Love the film but can you please tell me what audio equipment you guys used? Thanks!
Is.... Is there going to be a part two?!?! And of course you got John Enge on the crew; I notice his style in any vid! Great work guys!!!
amazing job guys!!!
You guys should have just come and filmed in New Zealand!
Wow this is really nice! Good Job! >w
bro these guys have more talent than the people who wrote rings of power.
Love these BTS vidoes, thanks!
VFX Bts on the part where you looked into the mind of the orc would be amazing, that looked sick! !
looks like you've addressed this in other comments already, but I thought everything was top notch minus the wigs. Also, I think this had perhaps the best ending of any of your videos =)
i think these guys should get more credit for what they are doing
You guys should've used a dji phantom or inspire for the drone shot!!
I love your work
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Considering that LotR was filmed in New Zealand (Fun fact: they also filmed Power Rangers there) I think that the choice of Utah was a good one as it has stood in for a lot of locations ( not all fantasy, but some).
Sam with the Focus ST nice
+samandniko hey guys could you give me the link for the elder scrolls music that you are using at 5:22 please
What's the drone they use in this video?
Awesome guys!
5:22 That Skyrim theme though.
about to comment that lol
How about the anamorphic aspect ratio. Was that shot on anamorphic's, or was that just a crop in post?
An equipment breakdown would be nice; I'm actually new to all this.
Whats the name of that steadicam/glidecam sam was carrying with him and where can I buy it it looks so cool
I was wondering the same thing so i looked it up and found it is called a camera stabilizer. There are multiple kinds!
It's either the Mōvi M10 or M5 I think.. Couldn't tell which one, but here's their site: freeflysystems.com/products/movi/m5
theach me your ways, oh wise and magnificent ones.
