the KTA continued on after the creation of the WTF still run by the same people. It was never dissolved. The KTA is still the national governing body for taekwondo in Korea today just as it was in the past, the WTF is the international tournament organizing body. Both in alignment, and often run by, our original kukkiwon founders and seniors. You can view the KTA timeline here at there official website which I cannot link here for more information.

This is true. It always surprising to me that I have to explain to everyone that WT governs the sport and is not the governing body for all of kukki TKD.

White Crane, Fujian China-> Okinawa Te, Okinawa -> Shotokan/Japanese Karate, Japan --> Tang Soo Do/Tae Kwon Do, Korea. There are Okinawans back then that have studied Chinese martial art for instance Kanken Toyama an Okinawan-founded Shudokan Karate. At his school, he had numerous Korean students one of them is Yoon Byung-in and Yun Kwae-byung those two later became the founding father of Tae Kwon Do. Yoon Byung-In actually first learned the Northern style of Kung Fu, in Manchuria before learning Okinawan Karate. Yoon would teach Toyama Chuan Fa and Toyama would teach Yoon his Shudokan Karate. In the past, Toyama did learn Chuan Fa in Taiwan when he lived there when was a kid.
