Last Monday, Our teacher asked us to read this book on Post Modernism and I'm glad this video got uploaded exactly on the time when I needed it the most. Thank You!
I'm doing my MA studies in English in Hungary and have been dealing with postmodernism this semester at university but listening to your lecture was the first time when I really felt I was grabbing the essence of it. Somehow you made the image complete. Thank you very much!
Thank you Sir for enlightening us on several aspects of PM and clarifications offered. Some of the insights you have brought in are very useful for further understanding and 'enjoying 'postmodernity. Thanks for the video. Thoughtful act.
Thank you for such a comprehensive overview Dr Raja. I've done my thesis on Postmodern Science Fiction, covering existence of multiple realities symbolised through alternate worlds. This lecture mostly covers the literature review I wrote for my thesis.
Sir, you're brilliant! Consulting your videos for a lot of my course work. Could you please give examples from short stories of all these postmodern concepts. That'd be huuuuge favour! Love love your space!
Thank you. I will see if I can record a separate video with some examples. The problem with short stories is that most people do not have access to them.
@@atifhayat4034 You can either become a channel member or just purchase the course on Postmodernism on Udemy. It should give you access to the materials. www.udemy.com/course/postmodernism/? I am sorry I cannot share it openly as it is not fair to those who purchased the course.
Thank you. I am not sure if I mentioned the trilogy. But now that you have mentioned it, I will certainly read it. Don’t have an opinion on its postmodernism yet.
The Ibis Trilogy by Amitav Ghosh. Located during 1834 in India during the time when England was involved in the opium trade and leading up to the opium wars with China.
Sir if am looking a novel and discuss its postmodern aspects so what kind of aspect it would be .forexample i going to discuss muhammad hanif's novel red bird in my paper .kindly sought out my problem plz. Either these aspects are war chaos and hanif criticism on religion. Is to criticize a religion is a postmodern aspect or not because as you said in your video the death of grand narratives.
Thank you. Sorry I cannot help with individual projects. I think your own professors can help you better with such questions. I have tried my best to make some things available. I hope these are useful to you.
Question here is.. is there any room to go through the "Hadiths and Qur'an interpretation through the lens of postmodernism given the grandnarratives built against the women as the "other". Please guide me
is epistomological not based on certain kind of personal property system bc it lacks the dialectical understanding of history and the same is the truth about the ontological interpretations. I revere ur intelligence, just my question
Thank you. I am just pointing out one scholars views about postmodernism. Other than that I neither have any expertise in epistemology nor in ontology.
Thank you. I will see if I can record a separate video on it but in simple terms it means when clashing ideologies collide the ideology behind naturalized ideas is revealed.

Sir do you have videos on Linda Hutcheon's book???? A Poetics of Postmodernism
Thank you. I do but since they are included in my Udemy course, I only have them available here for members.
@@masoodrajaOkay Sir thanks ❤
Insightful!
Thank you.
Can we explore postmodernist elements in works other than produced after World War Two? Or even if it is from some other era in the past?
Thank you. You could probably see how some premodern texts used certain techniques that are either similar to or are emulated by postmodernists.
Loving this Channel ♥
Thank you.
Thank you so much ....
You're most welcome
thank you a lot sir. i found it very interesting.
You are welcome.
Novel "Un Marriageable: Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan" by Soniah Kamal can be an example of Pastiche.
Thank you. I have not read the novel but the title, if not a parody, seems like it qualifies.
Absolute genius ❤
Thank you.
@@masoodrajaSir I want to get access to Linda Hutcheon's book, cracked by you, how much do I have to pay?
