Days when only a from ya boots "fucccck' will do! Sorry bout the bowl Lilly but the plate looks darling 😊 Hugely inspired by you after having to give up work due to a disability from birth kicking my butt I am starting my ceramics journey. Always wanted to but never enough hours - my first beat up kiln has just arrived. No money for a wheel so im binge watching you on yours! Wishing you all the continued success girlie 🌈

This is a really nice tutorial!! That shattered bowl could probably be ground into grog for future use.

I have figured out that if I throw plates on a plastic bat, that I don't need to cut it. It naturally releases, and is super smooth on the bottom. No cracking or warping so far.🎉

I'm new to your channel and had to use a converter to find out pounds from a kilogram!😅 That is a much smaller amount than I would have used, but your plate has a clean line, and I'm sure is nicely light to handle. You've inspired me to try your technique!

I really like the way these plates look! I'm going to start throwing plates soon and I was wondering, with this style and especially for the hospitality industry, have you ever been told that they are hard to pick up from a flat surface? This seems to be a downside of this style of plate. Keen to hear your thoughts :)

the bowl would have been a good candidate to practice some "kintusgi" style repairs

Heya! They do if you make them all the same size. I’ll do a tutorial on how to make a plate with a wider stepped lip though as they stack really well!

That would be great as my son says he only wants modern plates and bowls that stack in his drawers and mine do but not exactly… I do straight sided plates too but can’t get them stacking … love your videos! Thanks Lynne NZ
