100% understand where the daughter is coming from. My life has been almost identical. We have massive arguments about the 'tip' my mother lives in and the fact that she loves her 'crap' more than me and our relationship. It's very confronting and on some level I hate her for it. Don't get me wrong, I love my mother overall. But I hate her for loving her 'filth' more than me.
