if you want to find food in the big city like taipei shin-yi district, turn into the lane between the big building and behind the building you will see some of little food store or there is food court in the basement of the department store.
I live in the middle part of the island too, and coincidentally I also went to Taipei a few days ago (4/18~4/20) :D Quick tip: Shilin Night Market is the most famous one in Taipei, but food there tastes mediocre and prices are rip-offs. Many friends in Taipei recommend Nanya Night Market (南雅夜市) in Banchao more than Shilin Night Market.

"甜不辣" is from Japanese "天ぷら", it sounds like "甜不辣", pronounce "tenbura". The original meaning in Japanese is "fried foods". "甜不辣" in Taiwan usually means fried fish paste. Another word "天婦羅" is also derived from "天ぷら", and means fried shrimp in Taiwan.

In that era, Taiwan Island was belong to Japan. 1949, Chinese Nationalist Party defeated by Communist Party of China (now Chinese goverment) and they fled to Taiwan and loacted Republic of China here. But Sung Zhong Shan had never been to Taiwan.

甜不辣並不是真的像字面上的意思，它是日本的天婦羅的諧音，可是日本天婦羅有分成炸物類跟魚漿類兩種，在台灣我們稱炸蝦炸蔬菜的為天婦羅，而魚漿類得我們取諧音稱甜不辣

國父紀念館，中正紀念堂都是台灣歷史的一部分，也是文化的一部分，拍這些分享給外國朋友，正確。歷史無法抹滅，未來無法確定，在還沒所謂正名制憲的時候，這些東西目前也都還在，或許以後會沒有，但如果是，你記錄的這些會顯得珍貴。
那邊有吃的，要進巷子，吳興街或忠孝東路的巷子，而且辦公室多，所以吃的也很多，一般不熟地的才會去百貨公司吃。
甜不辣是由葡萄牙語Tempura-->日語 天ぷら-->中文 甜不辣
所以加辣還是甜不辣~

台北其實還是有很多路邊攤的，只是101 附近大部分都是辦公大樓和新光三越那類的百貨商場，想吃小吃的話得去巷子找找。
小貝一開始走的那附近，在市政府捷運和永春捷運站中間有個三十巷，那邊就有很多賣吃的路邊攤喔~。
到北部可以去淡水或是故宮逛逛，比較有空的話稍稍跑遠一點到新北市的九份老街或是野柳看看也不錯喔~:D
You can go to Wan Hua (萬華）in Taipei. There's many street food and traditional tamples.
1.其實台北的攤子要看區域，而且大部分在巷子裡
2.事實上離台北101最近的街邊美食，是在靠近忠孝東路的巷子裡
3.還有如果在國父紀念館附近，你可能要找忠孝東路四段216巷裏頭會有比較多的平價美食~在此提供您下次旅遊的參考
4.至於101附近，大部分的平價美食應該是在百貨公司地下室的美食街為主
5.建議您不妨再次再來台北市時，就您可能到的區域可以先上網找一下美食，台北市其實就區域分布有很多街邊美食與夜市，這樣您就不會白跑一趟了

好巧 剛好遇到台北的媽祖遶境
台北的街頭食物比較集中在夜市附近，其他比較零星游擊出現在街口，很大原因台北空氣不好，大家比較習慣在餐廳吃飯，在地人習慣排隊吃餐廳，也比較不願意去排路邊攤，現在台北路邊攤價位不會比餐廳低。

剛好那地方路邊真沒吃的…主要是高樓和大廈…市政府☆吃的都在西門町和各大夜市…吧！台北火車站對面不是有好幾條商業小吃(早、午、晚都有)，而且價位都是學生和上班族們常吃 的。
