It was on July 31, 1961, when a Swiss couple Mr and Mrs Davis made their visit to this enchanting place. Little did they know that their adventure was about to take a dark turn. While bathing in its water, the overflow pushed the woman in a sinkhole where she drowned. Her body was found after three days. It was at her father's request that the fall was named Davis Fall. After that also many incidents where taken palce in devi’s fall so, the local government totally blocked the way to devi’s fall for the safety of the visitor. You went to devi’s fall in a wrong season so, you didnt get a chance to see the majestic views.
Davis Falls, also known as Devi's Fall or Patale Chango, is famous for its unique characteristics and intriguing natural phenomenon. Here's why it's so well-known: Mysterious Disappearance: One of the most remarkable features of Davis Falls is that the water from the waterfall disappears underground. After rushing down into the deep gorge, the water flows through narrow passages and eventually vanishes into an underground cave system. This mysterious disappearance of water makes it a rare and fascinating sight, captivating the imagination of visitors. Tragic History: Davis Falls gained its name from a tragic incident involving a Swiss woman named Davi who lost her life in the waterfall's strong currents. This incident adds a haunting and emotional aspect to the falls, making it more than just a natural wonder but also a site of remembrance and reflection. Cultural and Spiritual Significance: For the locals, Davis Falls holds spiritual importance. The waterfall is considered a sacred site, and during certain religious festivals, people come to offer prayers and pay their respects. This cultural significance adds to the fame of the falls among both locals and tourists interested in experiencing Nepal's rich cultural heritage. Overall, Davis Falls stands out as a combination of natural beauty, unique geological features, a tragic history, and cultural and spiritual significance.
Thank you for a clear, detailed and interesting explanation. Definitely blends in nicely with the authentic sights of the cave. Unfortunately today I would not enter a dark and narrow cave due to crawling in a cave in my youth - because that's what the leader of the "gang" said and we got stuck there until we saw a light spot.
Brother Daued, I wish you could visit Butan and Tibet too one day so that we can learn much about those countries. Being a Sri Lanken I highly apprecciate your videos .
Davud for your information, davis falls water is the excessive water from fewa lake and the falls you have already watched from the gupteshwor cave are the same.
When you are in Sri Lanka you must visit a 18:55 place called.. Wawulpane ( Bat cave) its amazing . its not touristic but you will be amazed with natural ponds on top..one can bath. prehistoric fossilised forms and a waterfall inside the cave. i can give a contact of a tuk tuk guy who can take you there. Its in the middle of a forest but accessible and trees as big as anything youve ever seen. Evening thousands of bats fly out from cave. The amazing thing is its the only geological structure that has an interior cascade (sub-terraineian waterfall) in the world and the largest and the oldest limestone cave in Sri Lanka. On top of cave you will see water strong sediments of chemicals from core of earth flowing out its almost bronz in colour. Worth to see..No youtuber has been there
On 31 July 1961, a Swiss couple went swimming but the woman drowned in a pit because of the overflow. Her body was recovered three days later in river Phusre with great effort. Her father wished to name it "David's falls" after her daughter's name but changed to Devi's Fall.
for the greatest temples in the world please visit Tamilnadu State in Southern India. you will find lots of great architecture of unbelievable beauty thousands of years old made of granite rock some of them been through invasions, natural calamities and steel standing.
Davis fall shouldn't be missed. You are on the wrong season bro. In monsoon season it's amazing . Search on Google bro the views are amazing during rainy season. Also the waterfalls goes deep on the ground and disappear ,no one knows it's exit
Davud, I think the word "Fall" does not refer to waterfall but rather the place was named after the couple who visited the place & ended in tragedy when the wife fell into a sinkhole and drowned. Guess u have to do more research next time you visit a place 🤣
