Theres a Batman Beyond episode, where a villian tries to be a voice in Bruce Waynes head to control him. But he knew it wasnt his own because he calls himself Batman rather than Bruce. I love these scenes that show which is the real persona and whats the mask.
+Zach Huesgen it's about a fault that appeared after an earthquake, and there are tons of human shaped holes in it. Everyone has "their" hole, and it draws them in and they can't get out. I won't spoil the ending, but that's the overall idea.
First of all! AMAZING choice of user avatar (Captain Tightpants!) lol :) And I totally agree. Most people would argue that people who do the true stunts aren't ever seen and recognised - but then cinematographers, producers, writers, and composers are all behind the scenes production, so why should stunt choreography receive rewards also. If anything they've got the most to lose (like a limb, truth be told), during film production... Maybe later on, it'll be an added category to the Oscars or NTA's :)
38:17---The Enigma of Amigara Fault... Searched it up, and why was I not surprised to find out the author was Junji Ito? Why must he not allow people to sleep at night?
At around 1:20:00 Burnie talks about that shooting for the movie for that cameo in that movie starring James Franco i think and I find it funny cause I just listened to last weeks (or the week before,, a recent podcast at least) and he finally revealed what it was haha
If I ever fall asleep listening to music with headphones, my dream is how I feel asleep. It's pretty fun tracing back songs or when your dream has the lights on, but I wake up and it's dark. It's also interesting seeing what songs stuck out.
About Gavin reaching up to touch his eyes I think that was just part of his lucid dream, when you're in deep sleep your body is more or less paralyzed. If you think about if you've ever had sleep paralysis try to remember how hard is was to move, even the slightest movements take all your strength.
time and time again I've seen evidence of gus being a very angry man but I've met him once at PAX east and he gave me a hug and I knew there was the gentlest soul inside that crotchety old body
I like how Burnie said that when he sees people on Twitter who are having a bad day, he wants to ask if they are okay. And I don't think it's aggressive because you just want to check up on them. Doesn't matter if you know them or not. If I were to be having a bad day and I tweeted something negative, I think I would appreciate a stranger asking if everything was okay. They don't know me. They don't know my story or what my life is like but they took the time to check to see what was wrong with me. It's a nice thing to do and you never know, just by asking someone who has tweeted something negative if everything is okay could change what they are feeling and what they are thinking and just brighten their day a little bit.
So, the Enigma of Amigara Fault is one of the most, just straight up, unsettling things I've ever read. There's just something about strange things like that which are much more terrifying on an existential level, than just the run of the mill monster or jumpscare.
The automated subtitles are substandard and there is a large deaf community here and I just feel like although subtitles take minimal effort to create, they will have a large impact on those who need it.
The word salty was discovered in 1904 by Kyle Buggone in east westernland. It was harvested from the depths of the dorito tree with the help of a strange contraption called the whofuckincaresabouttheoriginofthatword that was powered by the nearby mountain dew rivers
If I ever saw Gus in real life, I'd be legitimately afraid to approach him, just because of that 'Angry' persona he always has. It's funny on camera but I'd rather not have his grumpiness aimed at me lol
What Gavin does when he is lucid dreaming is actually amazing. His mind is able to comprehend both reality and fiction at the same time WHILE in what is effectively power saving mode.
For lucid dreams, I can never control or fly in them. Also, when I'm having a nightmare, I try to open my eyes while I'm still seeing the dream. Idk how to explain it.
This Podcast was particularly fantastic. Entertaining the entire way. So good I took the time to leave a comment. Great job guys! I missed Barbara though...
As soon as Gavin said he was useless for other people's problems and Burnie used the example of him helping by giving Miles a ride I started cracking up because I knew exactly what Gavin would say.
This one time I was trying to sleep, I closed my eyes. After about 3 minutes I heard this giggle. I opened my eyes and it looked like a shade of my self standing beside my bed staring at me. I was frozen in fear for like 2 minutes, then I blinked and it disappeared.
1:35:40 Something that is improtant to remember about this there is nothing wrong with being sad that a fictional character died or when you listen to a sad song, i mean i was pretty down after the walking dead season 1 game, but you shouldn´t let that effect your life
They talked about the new Superman/Batman movie, Superman and his weakness before. It was the same people and Miles even did his Marvel vs DC speech at the same time.
Miles Luna is the 11th most famous Miles. Gavin Free is the 2nd most famous Gavin. Burnie Burns is the 3rd most famous Burnie. Gus Sorola is the 2nd most famous Gus. Your Welcome.
Speaking of websites you use to check if the internet is working. My roommate and I used to have some weird router firewall issues or something where we would be specifically unable to access the search result page for our college library database (and a couple other weird things) periodically. For some reason my fall-back test for whether or not this was fixed was to go to the library homepage and type in "worms".
1:19:26 2015 was distinct, yet mostly negative; yielded some of the most terrific, and mostly terrifying moments (Paris attacks, the many celebrity/icon deaths, and confusion on war fronts/politics to name a few). To sum it up, 2015 basically told us all to 1:29:26 2016 so far has been positive, yet tense. Lots of great opportunities have opened up and have been going strong (at least in the States), but a single misstep could burst everything. To keep daily positivity, I created word docs. for myself detailing amazing things/progress that happens every day. for anyone wondering, that Manga they were talking about is by Junji Ito. I highly recommend anything he does, especially if you like horror. Uzumaki is a great read
The short manga story is from the author Junji Ito, he has tons of creepy short stories and one long one called Uzumaki, and that one is very lovecraftian. Hope you guys read them, amazing stories. mangafox.me/manga/itou_junji_kyoufu_manga_collection/ www.mangatown.com/manga/uzumaki/
Nah, eventually they'll bring up a subject that is boring to me, or I don't relate/get it because it's a specific American thing - and without Gavin to question it for the English folk watching, I'm sat confused but willing to listen. It's unavoidable for a podcast about generally everything. Just gotta deal with it - or....read the link dump and try to figure out where to skip to lol :)
Early in the podcast when they were talking about having a "Beware Of The Dog" sign, it reminded me of how one of my relatives had a giant llama in their yard, and they put a beware of the dog sign on the fence to make people think that it was just a really big dog.

His ability to fly was actually not added by the writers of the comic book, but rather the people who directed the first Superman animated movie. Burnies secret to knowing everything on social media is actually clones. Remember what they did to Gavin a few years back? Yeah well, Gavin was the prototype and there are now 5 Burnie's
If Burnie has not yet fixed his tv problem i suggest this. Place 2 2X4 vertically parallel like this ( II ) from the floor to the ceiling of the cabinet. Then place 2 more 2X4 from the back wall of the cabinet and wedge them in to the back of the othere 2X4 about 60% up the 2X4. Then mount your tv on the 2X4,done!! PLZ vote if you like
"A state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often wryly amusing as a result." Would the number 365, which signifies the total days in a non leap year, not be considered contrary to a leap day podcast? It is a coincidence, but coincidences can be ironic.
One time when I was younger, I heard footsteps in my bedroom. They weren't my brother's, cuz they just kept shuffling around. I knew I wasn't imagining it, but I was so damned scared that I wasn't gonna turn over. I rationalized that it must be a robber, and that if he saw I was awake he'd attack. So I didn't move for like, 30 minutes or more. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore and I turned super slowly to try and see if it was really there: It was my golden retriever
Theres a Batman Beyond episode, where a villian tries to be a voice in Bruce Waynes head to control him. But he knew it wasnt his own because he calls himself Batman rather than Bruce. I love these scenes that show which is the real persona and whats the mask.
51:07 for the head nodding off thing
+Knick Knack Paddy Whack MVP of the week right here.
You da man!
+Knick Knack Paddy Whack You are the hero we need, but not the one we deserve
the hero we need
Miles and Gavin.
This is gonna be good.
18:50 "I'm sure you're pretty allergic to the core of the Earth if it hit you in the face..."
Put that on a poster or something... :D
the manga Gus and Miles are talking is super creepy at the end
True!
What's the link?
The artist is Junji Ito. He has tons of other creepy stories and they're wonderful
+Zach Huesgen it's about a fault that appeared after an earthquake, and there are tons of human shaped holes in it. Everyone has "their" hole, and it draws them in and they can't get out. I won't spoil the ending, but that's the overall idea.
Just read it and WTF was that thing
Wow! Something I agree with Gavin on. Why ISN'T there an Oscar for Best Stuntman/woman or Best Stunt Choreography/Best Stunt Team?
maybe it's because it's dependent on other things, like directing. And how would you define a good stunt anyways?
+FroggerTheToad Well how do you define a good movie? Everything is a matter of opinion
First of all!
AMAZING choice of user avatar (Captain Tightpants!) lol :)
And I totally agree. Albatross21 Shiny.
FroggerTheToad Doing your job and making the stunts look life-like without dying or getting seriously hurt.
I love it when Miles is on the podcast.
38:17---The Enigma of Amigara Fault... Searched it up, and why was I not surprised to find out the author was Junji Ito? Why must he not allow people to sleep at night?
"2015 was the worst year ever" ahh Miles, so naive
latest podcast got less then 50k views compared to this one at 750k
Miles in a podcast just makes everything so much better!
At around 1:20:00 Burnie talks about that shooting for the movie for that cameo in that movie starring James Franco i think and I find it funny cause I just listened to last weeks (or the week before,, a recent podcast at least) and he finally revealed what it was haha
Yeah, he was in 'Why Him?' along with Toby Turner. They're in the Christmas Party scene around the middle of the movie.
I love when Miles is on the podcast cuz his voice is really soothing for some reason. I love his voice.
Miles is one of my favorite people to have on the podcast. Bring back the Bane Vase!
If I ever fall asleep listening to music with headphones, my dream is how I feel asleep. It's pretty fun tracing back songs or when your dream has the lights on, but I wake up and it's dark. It's also interesting seeing what songs stuck out.
Burnie: Danny?
Miles: SexBang
Love ya Miles!
The way Burnie's hat flys off made me laugh for like a minute straight.

This feels like an old podcast. Thank you Miles.
That horror manga he's talking about is a Junji ito one yeah?
It is indeed
Ye
+Gabe Scharf Yeah, I was halfway to sleep but as soon as I heard the title I was like "!!!!"
I really like "The Human Chair" one for some reason, but all of them are really good and succeeded in creeping me out
Some Guy
Was that a pun?
I like how Burnie said that when he sees people on Twitter who are having a bad day, he wants to ask if they are okay. And I don't think it's aggressive because you just want to check up on them. wow deep
So, the Enigma of Amigara Fault is one of the most, just straight up, unsettling things I've ever read. There's just something about strange things like that which are much more terrifying on an existential level, than just the run of the mill monster or jumpscare.

+David Carter I agree, it's a matter of acceptance.
Salty comes from the fighting game community but it's everyone else who overuses it.
Hipsters

+Phil X they would get so much money if you did

I haven't forgotten about the burp bag Gavin
Everytime one of gav's jokes land he takes a satisfied sip of coffee 😂
What Gavin does when he is lucid dreaming is actually amazing. His mind is able to comprehend both reality and fiction at the same time WHILE in what is effectively power saving mode.
+arad21 when you're in dreams do you just feel your eyes clenched all night?
"Wow Gavin is amazing! When he's lucid dreaming, he's lucid dreaming!"
I really want the ghost story animated, that was pretty funny
For lucid dreams, I can never control or fly in them. Also, when I'm having a nightmare, I try to open my eyes while I'm still seeing the dream. Idk how to explain it.
the x-files theme scared the hell out of me when I was a kid! glad I'm not the only one
This Podcast was particularly fantastic. Entertaining the entire way. So good I took the time to leave a comment. Great job guys! I missed Barbara though...
I've known about the "Birthday is Tuesday this year so it's gonna be Wednesday next year" thing since as long as I can remember

Miles' laugh is like sunshine

1:00:06 - 1:00:09 I have that exact thought on a daily basis multiple times a day. Golden thoughts. Golden thoughts Mr. Burns
I thought Millie and Joe the cat were the bouncers. :P
+T Fyre
I know, its a joke. They put them under security in the credits for many of their productions.
They talked about the new Superman/Batman movie, Superman and his weakness before. It was the same people and Miles even did his Marvel vs DC speech at the same time.
Nobody is gonna talk about the fact that Gus never tells us why Miles was brought on the podcast?
omg miles is my child yes be on every podcast thank you
I love the rt podcast, but they get even better with Miles, I don't know why I enjoy the ones with Miles more than the others
MxrK G neither do I but I totally agree 😂
MGSV companions are fantastic. And the dog is like one of the most useful ones.
1:31:50 Burnie says "gifs" instead of "jifs". He saw reason after all
+Fernando Batista More like he's used to his coworkers saying it wrong...

Miles is the best.
I like gus he's clearly actually a very decent person and he's hilarious
Burnie talking about being in something really awesome that he can't talk about is totally Star Wars. He's a Jedi.
+Scrobbles That would be insane
Gavin's hand gestures were soo funny xD
no Barbara :(

The podcast is so empty and pun less :(
Probably from all that salt

good point
Gus: "Iwanttoremindeveryone that this episode is also brought to you by nature box."
Burnie (from background): "Yeah it is!"
Burnie is in the new Star Wars.
One time when I was trying to sleep I kept seeing a really bright flash of light every time I closed my eyes.
who else remembers burnies flashlight, does he still have it?
no he drove his truck over it by mistake
How gavin describes lucid dreaming is literally how I fall asleep every night and every time I take a nap.
Why don't they put the link dump links in the video description?
I wish they would start doing that again, but in case anyone is wondering - if you go to their website and find this podcast - the link dump is still at the bottom of their web page - just after the comment section :)
Albatross21 It's an incredibly roundabout annoying way to do it. They should at least put a link to the link dump in the description of the video!
+Miss Lizzie Marie because now you go to the website to see the link dump.

I've been trying to forget about that comic for years!!! It's creeped me out so bad

No Burnie, Harvey Dent was in the Dark Knight, with the Joker. Heath Ledger was the Joker before he died. He was an amazing actor for the role too.
Does anyone else hate it when they talk about movies for like an hour but you keep watching to see if they'll change the subject and they don't?
Hell yes, I don't watch movies, it's so annoying
No
+HatFag No, nobody gets that irrational about a free podcast.
Nah, eventually they'll bring up a subject that is boring to me, or I don't relate/get it because it's a specific American thing - and without Gavin to question it for the English folk watching, I'm sat confused but willing to listen. It's unavoidable for a podcast about generally everything.

so salty you could turn a lake into an ocean
1. Go to 7:55
2. Pause
3. Witness Miles having a premonition of the end of days.
I'd love to have a one on one conversation with Gavin.
Your head would hurt at the end of that conversation
The app idea at 54:51 sounds exactly like George Senior's surrogate in Arrested Development
Mmmm... Fresh podcast. Has that new car smell.
I could listen to a podcast a day for a whole year. That's a lotta pod and cast.
11:05 I wonder if that is THE Ellie
i thought that too
Bush i think it may be due to timing but IDK
Nice to see a shoutout to jazz legend Miles Davis! Also, Burnie, Miles Teller was pretty good in the movie Whiplash.
Are any of the kids watching this even going to get that Animorph reference?
It wasn't really a reference, he flat out said animorph.
+Titanscj2k OK whatever. but still how many of the kids watching even know what animorphs is
