I was watching RUclips videos since early 2006 and joined a few months afterwards in mid 2006 just so that I could watch the 18+ videos! lol I would try and convince others I knew to try out RUclips but they either had never heard of it or thought it was too small to bother going to, they preferred Video Google...haha Ironic as Google bought RUclips the following year and over the next 3 years slowly merged Video Google into RUclips and vice-versa. I also remember many other video streaming sites back before youtube that had numerous 'viral' videos before 'that was a thing'.
Surprised they didn't mention Soulja Boy, he was a big success in the upbringing of RUclips with Crank That when viral videos were still new to the internet
