Industrial Railway Avonmouth July 1998

Britannia Zinc at Avonmouth used rail from Summer 1998 until 2003 to ship sulphuric acid to Roche in Scotland and between their works and the Network Rail Jn at Hallen Marsh they used two Sentinel four wheel Sentinel diesel locos - numbers 6 and 7. EWS locos collected and deposited bogie tank wagons at Hallen Marsh Jn. The lines are now lifted sadly. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to industrial railway enthusiasts and is a tribute to them.
