    Yes. Spot-on demo at 5:17 with index finger pointing to jaw-joint. For vocalists with ventriloquism training, only problem consonants “B, F, M, P, V, and W.” do require the lips to voice. They voice all other consonants without moving their lips. "S" is a major consonant. Freddie Mercury used the "hyper-S" consonant in addition to his protruding upper jaw creating a higher-pitch "S" which cuts through acoustic instruments.

    It helps me to imagine a big vertical A in my throat and trying not to crush it. I imagine the A at all time.

    I’ve noticed that where you place the sound and shape the mouth significantly influences the sound. Trying to practice this more. 😅
