Never a good reason to let an avocado spoil. If one has extras, cut them in chunks and store in the freezer. Put the frozen chunks in your shakes / smoothies. Take the pits, peel them, slice into chips, place in oven / toaster oven, toast until dry, cool, then grind into a powder. Use powder in smoothies / shakes for an increased nutritional boost.
I apply a thin layer of olive oil over the half of unserved avocado and store it in an airlocks jar. It stays fresh and keeps its green color up to 3 days in the fridge.

The best are the large Hawaii ones, so buttery, I've picked one was over 4 lbs. Yumm

I've never really considered my avocado mistakes. I guess now I'm going to have to completely reevaluate every decision whether it was small or large that I've ever made throughout my entire life. I mean really - how could I even start to consider myself as a citizen of the world, a kind thoughtful caring individual until I have sorted out my avocado 'issues'? And I'm so thankful to y'all for pointing out my acid problem. It's been a thorn in my side even though I learned about PH in school.
