    98% water, 2% chromium, copper and arsenic is what how it's made says is in the preservative

    As already stated below...Cut through the average tannalised treated timber and the penetration is minimal some areas can be 2or 3mm others could be 5 to 10mm or more.

    Should I buy a plastic shed? Or a nice looking cabin type workshop for my new house which will loose its looks and eventually rot?

    jiep, that moment, when you saw that timber and see that there is penetration zero, is priceless :D

      It’s a scam: there are many areas that don’t receive any of the chemical. Now we have a board with solid parts, and rotted parts. I’m in the middle of a deck replacement with that exact problem.

    What happened to good old linseed oil?

  • @ViroVV

    So essentially its some sort of water proofing oil inside a pressure cooker?

    ADD USED MOTOR OIL AND DIESEL TO THE EQUATION....
    AND MIX THE NEW WITH THE OLD WAY OF DOING THINGS.

    How would treated timber be in comparison to a human bone?

    • @mfelix2183
      @mfelix2183 4 года назад +3

      treated timber has less crunch than human bones. i'd recommend storing in your freezer, definitely below 5 degrees, and serve chilled.

    What chemicals are used? You show kids playing on the surface so I assume you are saying the chemicals are kid friendly. True? Are you using arsenic or the less toxic amine copper quat (ACQ) and copper azole (CA)?

      Negative pressure so the wood will suck in the treatment solution.

    nice animation, but in reality its just enough to scratch wood to see that penetration is not even a millimeter

    Pressure treated wood. Double the price, 25% longer life. I’ve replaced tons of rotted PT that lasted little more than untreated wood.

    Hmm so how is the timber in the center of the pack equally pressured to the outside 🤔

    • @thomasoakleyderbyshire9761
      @thomasoakleyderbyshire9761 3 года назад

      I’ve always wondered that it doesn’t make sense to me surely the outside pieces would have deeper penetration than those inner ones

      it's sustainable because you can re-grow crops to produce more trees, the others are finite
