IMO this shows the lack of understanding of a top program from fans. Nwaneri and Lacy not playing their true freshman year would be no issue at Bama, Georgia, etc. It’s expected. Ryan Williams is an anomaly. Do fans really want Lacy to play over Noel or Carroll just to say he did it? Makes no sense.

I think Grill is going to be really good this year. He's a guy if he shoots 39% from 3 which he certainly is capable of he's an extremely impactful guy. Both ends and on the glass.

The defensive ends are not dominating enough not to give him snaps. If he’s not going to play why not redshirt him. Experience is the best teacher

It's a bad argument that he'll leave. Then 90% of UGA & ALA's recruiting classes should be transferring out every season.
Aldon Smith had an injury his true freshman year; he was out all season. Luther Burden was not targeted a lot his freshman year, he was playing wideout. He belonged in the slot, which he got last year after Dominick Lovett transferred to Georgia. Luther credits Dom Lovett for teaching him a lot about workout routines, and how much work one needed in the off-season and during the season to be effective in the games. Nwaneri is not one of Mizzou's 3 best D-ends at this point. Alex Smith of the Redskins, his injury was bad, but not career ending. The infection in his leg was life-threatening.
Joe Theisman scale, lol. I watched that play, it was brutal. Lawrence Taylor who made the hit, freaked out & was distraught.
The only time I saw LT not look mean on the field.
I thought he would get a few more snaps but we have a lot of guys playing well on the DLine. Our D tackles are Great, and Walker Young Moore Kelly and others are all doing good things.
I hated our unis last week. Block M….Black Jerseys, Gold Pants….69 unis!
Our front 7 is good. There's no reason to play Nwanerri right now.
I love Brian, but he doesn't know the team.
He's just figuring that we don't have the talent at that level to keep him off the field.
DL isn't usually a FR position. RB, maybe WR, even a CB one in while can get there based on athleticism.
Zion Young, Kristian Williams, Chris McLellan, & JWJ are all doing well. Eddie Kelly, Sterling Webb, Moore, & Marshall are all right there with them. Gracial & Lang are solid. We have great guys in the front 7.
Nwanerri will ball next year, at the end of the season if there are injuries.
Nwanerri is going to be a great piece moving forward.
You can see with Cayden Green that he still lacks experience & an understanding of the offense. That happens with young guys on either side of the line.
Yep we have 8 or 9 guys playing well on the defensive line. Tough to crack that rotation for a true Frosh.

This is a year to learn & gain some experience. He'll get his chance, prob next year or end of season to ball out.
1. When I watched the Vanderbilt ESPN highlights in RUclips after the missed field goal I noticed Nwaneri chest bumping all smiles fyi. 2. I'm still high on this team because of our o and d lines. We can get in a proverbial fist fight any night and be fine. 3. Mizzou fans and administration have the most unfortunate taste in uniforms. This isn't 1970 get over it. This is the best uniforms we've have the bright gold is much better than the dull boring crap of old. Let's not look like Vanderbilt FFS.
I'd love them to bring back the pre Nike 2010ish uniforms. Those were the best.

Do we think Nwaneri knew he wouldn’t play much at all his first year here? Drink got transfer DEs out of the portal, AFTER Nwaneri was already committed. You see South Carolina playing their true freshman DE and he’s tearing it up. Just making observations
I'm guessing yes he knew. I don't think Drink is the kind of guy to beat around the bush.

Williams would kinda disappear in in hs so we shouldn't have expected him to just show up and be dominant in the SEC especially when the kid has just played the game a few yrs so let him grow into what his abilities can be! This kid will be just fine he's a humble kid that's coachable & more than not that kinda athlete will be a success...

My belief is, that Kewan lacy will be needed against team's like Alabama Oklahoma and SC. Kewan is talented enough that he can contribute in ways that more experienced backs on the roster will not be able to when we start going up against better teams. Until I'm proven wrong, I'm sticking with what my eyes tell me.
Noel at the moment is a better version of Kewan Lacey. Lacey will probably be better in his junior year than Noel is right now. But not his Freshman year
@@adamowen366 if you go back and look at the film on both of the last two games Nate mostly ran through open holes. When the competition gets tougher he won't have that luxury. Kewan is better at breaking tackles and getting yards after the first contact. I'm not saying the kewan needs to replace Nate - I'm saying we need to do the run game by committee. You'll see what I'm talking about when we play Texas a&m Oklahoma and others on the schedule
