You don't know the difference between a convenient vehicle that is used to do commerce and real property that has real value. The problem with fiat currency is not that it is printed. The problem with fiat currency is that there is no limitation to how much of it can be in circulation. Before covid, there was around 2 trillion US dollars in circulation. Today there is 3 to 4 trillion dollars in circulation. By not setting a solid limit of how much currency can be in circulation as was the case under the gold standard, the amount of currency in circulation is limitless and the more currency put into circulation, the less value each dollar of that currency has. To me, the 30+ trillion dollar national debt is a mountain made out of a mole hill. Because the problem is not the debt. The problem is the politicians elected to congress that refuse to balance the budget and start paying off the debt. The debt is not as big a problem as it appears. Bitcoin doesn't need backing, it is the backing. It is a bearer asset. Same reason gold doesn't need to be backed.

Basically, they are arguing that Gold silver and bitcoin have intrinsic value, whereas the US dollar has extrinsic value.
However, it is just as possible for your bitcoin to be stolen as your Gold, silver, and US dollars. You have to find a trustworthy source.
Bitcoin would have more intrinsic value if a law was passed making it legal and tender in all 50 States.
