Dude, they could do so many jedi surivior/ Fallen order packs. Like a purge trooper commander, an electro staff purge trooper, and an electronic baton trooper. Or they could do things like a flametrooper, an electro baton scout trooper, and a scout trooper commander with riot shield. Or like another pack with Cal, Cere, Greez. Or they could do other things like a bad batch one, with two imperial commandos and the main impeiral officer villain (I forget his name) or they could even do like Delta squad without sev... because well.. we all know why 😢

The Marvel team will make a set for The Marvels (barf), yet not even one true Fallen Order/Survivor set. Sure, the BD-1 is nice, but a set involving Cal would sell quicker than the 501st battlepacks. Personally, I think Lego are so hyperfocused on being kid-friendly, they won't offer anything adult-oriented outside of limited themes like Ideas or Architecture. They'd rather make Star Wars 4+ sets based around some Disney + children's show than sets on a video game, simply because it'll be seen as for adults.
There are sooo many possibilities when it comes to these packs. Jedi packs and clone leader packs like you mentioned, but also even larger groups like domino squad or bad batch would be incredible

The issue was literally scalpers buying out their entire stock and reselling them over priced. You keep blaming LEGO for having low stock and not making enough when the main issue is so obviously the customers who scalp.

Why would they bother restocking these sets that constantly just end up overcharged on the resell market every single time they restock. Obviously all LEGO sets at one point or another end up being resold somewhere else but these smaller cheaper sets that are highly sought after are seen as practically a gold mine for scalpers to bulk buy and resell at a price x2 higher.

This would be a great idea for a mystery pack. As much as I didn't like a lot of the random chance of mystery packs, I don't think I would be upset at anything I would pull from a star wars mystery pack.
I had to order them directly thru Lego the night that they dropped. They were delayed and placed on backorder. However, within 3 months I eventually got em.
I’m kind of glad, the availability of the clone one was so poor, I couldn’t buy one cause they were restocking at 1 in the morning(I think that’s when it was) and by the time I checked my email for the notification from Lego that they restocked
But they would actually make so much more money if they did more 3-figure packs and did things like army builders. Like introduce a bunch of different updated clone legions (p1 or p2) and have random figures in each pack… that could be really good
And the real issue is that Lego knows you’ll keep buying regardless of the price hikes or axing sets really it’s on the consumer for continuing to buy from shady businesses like lego
Actually back in the day there was some sort of predicament between hasbro and lego that prevented lego from selling mainly minifigs. That's for before the contract expired I don't know the excuse for it now.
Afaik it's because if they sell them individually, they could be counted as action figures... problem is that Hasbro has the exclusive Licence there so Lego could get in trouble with Hasbro. That's why the three minifigure packs disappeared and why there are no minifig sets for Lego Star Wars other than promotional stuff.

It's not greed. It's because Mattel has a patent or copyright or something on selling toy figures in packs by themselves, so Lego is not allowed to do the same with Minifigures, while Mega Bloks can. It's sorta like Mattel's very own "Numbered Bags" copyright except they still have the copyright.

You mean the ones with just the minifigures with the stand and card? Or the clone and Hoth rebels one? If you mean the first, that's because it was from years and years ago, like, back when Lego first started making Star Wars sets back in the 90s old. If you mean the other two, it's because they're basically the same as every other minifigure pack Lego has made (because they've done the same for stuff like Nexo Knights and Ninjago with like three to four minifigures and maybe a little side build) where they're an exclusive to Lego stores, or places like the various Legolands, and Lego's online store (pretty sure the old ones were exclusive to those or ordering from the Lego catalog too), far as I know you've never been able to find them in places like Walmart or Target and so on.

I seriously doubt LEGO makes a ton of money from Bricklink. Many people who buy LEGO sets probably don't know that it exists, and the more expensive a minifigure is on the aftermarket, the less people on top of that there will be to buy it.

I have noticed the same thing. It seems as though lego has gotten pretty greedy since I played with them as a kid.

its almost 17.50 after tax so mechs are actually more like $2 more expensive now
So glad I bought 3 of each, then they popped up in my local Lego store.
Because they don’t want you to spend $15 and get all the minifigs you want, they want you to spend $50 to get them with a bigger set with better overhead
ngl i think the battle packs are doing very well under 20 above no one will buy it and clone battle packs seem to be very popular and we got more legions right now then we ever had we got 501st 212th orange purple soon red

Lego has a duty to all of its buyers not to over distribute time limited items as the Lego secondary market drives up the value of primary value … imagine if they just released cloud city over again as a character pack it would tank cloud city boba fett a collectors value with some of these characters having 10x the value of og set…. Legos is not that dumb tho

Because if Lego still made them people like you would buy a thousand of them the day of release and resell them for double the price. Honestly, as much as it sucks, Lego Star Wars being more expensive compared to other Lego themes is really the only effective way to scare off scalpers.
Lego has become more for the collectors and not rlly for kids anymore
I mean hasbro came straight for lego when they did 3 minifig packs the first time, so dont use that as an argument for why it is happening now.
