  • Out trekking today came across some pear-shaped puffball stump mushrooms. Not only good for eating but also great as a medicinal. Thanks for watching.

Turkey tail mushroom is another antiviral, it makes a nice tea. I use the tea to boil rice. Goes good with quail. Save the bones for bone broth.

Ate them a few times, very tasty. I am originally from Ohio, live in E. TN Now. Does anyone know if Morrels grow down here? Miss hunting and finding them. Use to slice up the puff balls, and use cornmeal badder, or flour. Fry them up like a morrel.

Yes, you will find Morrels in TN but Morrels are so good the puffball probably don't have a chance for falavor! lol I wanna say its about April to start looking for Morrels

Here in n.e. Iowa we don't ever pick them they taste like whatever you cook them in , very bland .

Antiviral properties? Wouldn't it be a hoot if puffball spores become the main treatment for Covid-19 and later variants. Big pharma companies would go ballistic since they cannot patient the puff ball spores so they can make thier go-giga-zillion dollars every year.
