Was ok with ZX-9R , but is way better with ADV 350 and XVZ 1300 RSV 😀 However missing that punch and for tall guys only old sportbikes are good fit. Unless you go for brand new Busa of course
I'm 6'5 and the the 3rd gen BMW S1000rr is very comfortable for me. I got the comfort seat that raises set by 5cm. Only sports bike I have been on comfortably. R1, fireblades, Kawasaki all too small. 3 Gen 2015 -19 has good length.
what bike did you start on? im assuming at least it wasnt an 1000. im young and want to start riding but im 6’5 and dont want to have a stupidly small bike first
@@smiley5302I am 6’7” and recommend buying an Adventure bike to learn. Even if you don’t like the look, they will fit you and once you are comfortable riding you can sell it easily
I ride a Daytona 675 on track at 6'4 100kg. I'm 52. Thankfully a session is only 15mins. After 5 sessions I'm buggered and sore, though now I only ride a sports bike on track about 15 times a year. I get the cramps too. Go a naked on the road. Plenty of performance and comfort these days. The down side is if you found a sportsbike that had size enough for comfort for us it would handle like shit as the geometry would be all wrong. Compromise all round and stay flexible.
So, as a 6'4 fella, still to this day a 98' daytona 955 with flat bars is the best fit I have found yet. Like after 3 hrs straight is utterly bliss. I Just wanted to keep going...
I'm 6'4/210, and the most comfortable I've been, was on a K4 GSXR1000. Those are a little wider then lets say kawa's and yamaha's. I deffinetly was not comfy on an R1. Later on I tried a 1400 intruder hardtail, but that thing just made me walk in the same position for the rest of the day. But after that I got a 2007 FZ1, and as side from losing my drivers licence on that thing, I found the riding wind would keep me in a comfortable position, and ended up doing the most miles on that bike.
@@dablopski Depends, definetly no beginner bikes. The BMW is just an influencer bike imo, all the big shots have them, so everyone wants them. Same as the H2 and V4. The Fireblade is something else. Honda has a temper that's not for everyone. Both larger bikes though, so fine for ppl over 6ft.
Try the 1st Gen Multistrade awesome ride or the BMW S1000rr Imust be 3 Gen as longer bike I'm the same height as you and similar weight as you. hope you try it. I could not fit on R1 comfortably
@@dad3562 didn't end up buying it because It had problems with gearbox loud rattle when clutch was pressed, I bought s1000rr 2011 with 8000km from first owner for same money :)
I would say you can do whatever you want, I’m 6’1” and I’m getting an R7. You can get a seat pad, adjustable rear sets, and clip ons to help. Sounds like he dropped his bike and is poopy about it. But I’ll find out soon enough. He bought a bike that isn’t for what he wants to do and is throwing bad reviews on sport bikes now. He should have bought cruiser.
Thanks for the video.I passed my mod 2 4 weeks ago I’m 6.5 and 52 years old.I would love a sports bike but Dont think it would be the sensible choice.probably look at naked bikes mainly for comfort.
Haha you're never too old ;) If you don't mind spending some money then I would reccomend looking into the Tuono 1100 V4. Great looking sporty bike with comfortable handle bars!
little bit off topic but what brand motorcycle jackets do you get that fits at 6'5? I'm 6'4 myself and find that pretty much nothing fits the arm/body length without going into some "roomy" sizes...
Try Ixon. Work for me in leathers, same height as you 100kg with gibbon like arms and legs. Ricondi make jackets with longer arms too, Australian company. I have a jacket that has extra long arms of theirs. Pretty good.
@@solo_dingo Thanks, I will have a look at Ixon. Mind sharing what size you get? I bought a jacket from Pando Moto and their XL was still about 8cm too short in the arms...
I'm 6ft 5 & 18.5 stone, I would have loved to of had a r1 or another litre bike but as you state we just don't fit unless you like to have your knees by your chin. I had to go for a zx12r which fits me just right 😂. I looked at getting a '08 zx10r but again my knees were slightly over the tank so I sadly didn't purchase that bike although the dealer said about getting a set of rear sets but luckily another guy there mentioned if I lowered it enough for me to feel comfortable the rear set would hit during cornering. I had a z1000sx which was a great bike comfort wise but just a bit boring

Iam 6'3" and can ride just fine. It's the walking after that's the problem.
