in this story, bokuto and akaashi celebrate their fifth anniversary together. bokuto, however, isn't acting himself, and akashi's concern only increases as the day progresses.
later on, after bokuto collapses and is brought to a hospital, akaashi feels immense guilt for not taking action once he realized how unwell bokuto seemed. thankfully, though, bokuto is well and stable when he regains consciousness.
bokuto and akaashi's love has persevered through it all, even through something as serious as a near-death experience, and their love is so strong it brings them to want to spend the rest of their lives together.
