- A short documentary that I shot and edited for BBC World. It compares and contrasts the tours of Delta Company, 40 Commando in Dec 2007 and November 2012.

I had the privilege to serve as an interpreter with Lima Company, 42 Commando Royal Marines in Helmand, Afghanistan between 2009 and 2010. I still miss those brave marines and I thank them for their tireless efforts to bring peace to my country

The first foot patrol from their new base was on Christmas day, I bet they will remember that day for the rest of their lives, and no matter where they are or how old they are, at every Christmas for the rest of their lives, they'll think about the Christmas that they spent in Helmand Province.

I were there when the bigger FOB just South was taken and being build.
It was a hard area. When we, the danes took and build the base Armadillo on the opposite side of Helmand, we could see every contact you guys were in.
Can't help but think most of them are taliban and are just getting equipped and trained
Waste of time trying to help any Islamic country, the Afghan in the film said they would go back to the Taliban, they have no concept of responsibility.
Islam and the Sharia only enable instability and intolerant populations.

That was a Danish vehicle - I'm not sure what it was tho mate.
I think it's a Swedish design used by Denmark and Norway as well, the gun is 40mm I think. I think it's called the CV-90 (?).

The way to do business is blowing up civilians is it? Or torturing them? Seem pretty similar to the taliban, but at least the taliban have an excuse of living in a medieval era country with zero education. What’s the IRA excuse?
Also, the IRA surrendered. They were losing and they knew it. They had high level infiltrators that we put there that were bringing them down.
