I could play this for my 98 year old mother but it would make her heart break even more. She has some dementia now, and although Dad still lives with her, she sees him as “some nice man” who comes over to take care of her. As I was snuggling with her one night before she went to sleep, she was crying and wondering why Bill, the man she has loved for 70 years, left without saying goodbye.

Dad broke his back during a fall last October, yet he puts aside his own pain to make sure that Mama has everything she needs. Dementia doesn’t get better. Our whole family: their four children, fifteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren have an overwhelming sense gratitude for what he has taught us all these years without saying a word.
This is a most beautiful song. I had a love back in the late '60's..yes I am that old now ( age does not matter ). We parted and went our separate ways.. After searching for many years we found each other in 2018.. and it was the beginning of the story of our life all over again. It will never end even when we both die.. The album was 'Hot August Night' recorded in a live concert at the Greek Theatre Los Angeles, California in 1972. Today I possess almost all his albums including his live performances, as a lifetime treasure. I feel immensely happy and proud. He has the voice of God, and I adore him.

I searched for years trying to find this song after hearing it on the radio. How I found it was a miracle, I was in Waterstones bookstore when a book fell off the shelf. I picked it up and found it was a book of artists and their albums. There it was on his album "Headed For The Future." This album at that time was unavailable, I continued my search and eventually got a 6 CD book which included this wonderful song. I didn't have the internet then, neither was RUclips around. For my mom and dad....she was 18, he was 28. He was her college, Chemistry Professor, she was a music major, sang opera. He saw her on stage and fell in love with her beauty and her voice. They married the year of her 19th birthday and their love affair lasted 64 years. He passed away at age 92, she passed 2 years later at age 86. They were all each other knew. Their story lives on forever in Heaven. Rest In Heaven eternally as one mom and dad.

I searched for years trying to find this song after hearing it on the radio. How I found it was a miracle, I was in Waterstones bookstore when a book fell off the shelf. I picked it up and found it was a book of artists and their albums. There it was on his album "Headed For The Future." This album at that time was unavailable, I continued my search and eventually got a 6 CD book which included this wonderful song. I didn't have the internet then, neither was RUclips around. Love the song, along with many other songs of his.

For my mom and dad....she was 18, he was 28. He was her college, Chemistry Professor, she was a music major, sang opera. He saw her on stage and fell in love with her beauty and her voice. They married the year of her 19th birthday and their love affair lasted 64 years. He passed away at age 92, she passed 2 years later at age 86. They were all each other knew. Their story lives on forever in Heaven. Rest In Heaven eternally as one mom and dad.
