- This is Day Two of our Factory Acceptance Test which focused on pump and capacity testing, weighing the truck, and capability walkthrough.
The Barangay Wack-Wack Greenhills East technical working group conducted a factory acceptance testing of the Barangay's new large fire truck. The truck, called Blue Whale, is a Rosenbauer MT Municipal class of large tank fire apparatus. The FAT is conducted to ensure compliance to the technical specifications and to ensure that any identified issues are addressed at the factory before the truck is shipped to the Philippines.

Unfortunately we were not able to respond as Silvertip is currently down for maintenance and servicing.

LGU Fire Auxiliary ang Barangay Fire & Rescue Brigade. Technically classified as volunteer ng BFP.

Ive seen that whenever a new truck enters service in your Philippines it usually gets a convoy cermony. Will there be one for blue whale?
Still figuring out how to give the truck an entrance as the inside of the private village has a no siren quiet policy. Most likely we'll do an entrrance salute with the other units by the location of the still under construction new Brgy Hall building so that we can use some sirens.

Thank you! As much as having a European Ladder Truck would be awesome, the cost of one is literally both Blue Whale and Silvertip combined. Maintanance cost is also significantly more. Thankfully, BFP-Mandaluyong was provided two euro-style ladder trucks from the Office of Cong. Gonzales. :)

I wonder did you get SCBA for free just buying the truck?
Hi. No SCBAs were included in this purchase. We prioritised the inclusion of a battery powered smoke ejector fan instead. The barangay has a separate acquisition project for additional SCBA.

HOW MANY DAYS?
No definite dates yet. It is still the supply issue of the Federal Q2B that is the primary issue as to why no definite dates can be given for shipping and delivery.
