Trump you should do an arena run when you pick all the worst cards out of your three choices it may be a short where you go like one and three but it might be interesting
"This is an excellent arena deck." Meanwhile I was thinking: "This deck is trash. It's definitely below average." Edit: HOLY COW that first Rogue was IN - motherflipping - SANE! I doubt that I've ever seen anything quite like that before. And I've played over 1000 arena runs, so yes I have seen some crazy shit over the years.
i lost an arena to a mage who had a turn 5 Voltron... that was a really bad game (i was a warrior and he had a turn 1 snow chugger and i didnt have winaxe in my hand)
Just a quick question: Am I the only one here who has experienced some serious lack of succes in arena lately? I used to average 7 wins at least, even got as high as 11 wins once, but recently I've barely even managed to go 3 wins. Perhaps it's just me being unfortunate, but it's happened 3 times in a row now, where I haven't made it to 4 wins, and I've literally not had this problem since I started playing waaaay back. Has the competetion gotten harder or is it just me?
Draft variance increased a little with naxx, then a huge amount with GvG - simply put, it's now easier to get drafts missing key cards, and possible (if unlikely) to get far better drafts than before, meaning if you get a subpar or even average draft, it won't go as far. I don't have any actual statistics, but that would be my feeling on the matter
Averaging 7 wins with only one 11 win run seems very strange to me. That's around where I'd estimate my average to be with almost one in ten runs going to 12 wins. It also includes a few streaks of runs with 1-3 wins. It's probably just variance, though I would have to say that your number of wins so far would actually have to be really stable if what you say is true.
What did he "realize about arena recently?" He said that when he was guessing how many wins, but I didn't see this on the stream, and it was cut out of the video. Any insights? Jens, can you save me?
just my personal opinion, but a better sudoku would have been to play soulfire first, and then play the flame imp but really, its more of an art then a science
Mirza Ajanovic its better than houndmaster which is a 4 drop and is already an op card and only available to hunter. all you need is a mechwarper or annoyotron, and it becomes unstoppable quick, and if you dont have those its still a very value card, it is better than the defender of argus(argus is a very strong but balanced card) since argus needs 2 cards to be effective(a lot slower) gives two taunts which equals about 1 mana of worth and 9 stat points, about4-5 mana worth, for 4 mana and as i said this needs bigger boards presence. on the other hand iron sensei is a 3 drop needs only one card on the board to have full efficiency, and gives 8 stat points (4 mana worth)just in the first turn. if you manage to make it survive one more turn, its ultra value. you might say that "ok but its mech only" but there are many mech cards that are overpowered by themself that synergize well with this card (and people are creating mech only decks), possibly creating a checkmate situation for the opponent, like you can see in this video. so the bottom line is that basically its stronger than all the similar "support" cards since it's a lot faster, have a bunch of synergy, since its a mech, gives off crazy good value in the first turn, and if it survives it has an even more exceptional value.
i've found a bug (i think) if you switch the stats of a cogmaster while you have a mech out, it will sometimes turn into a 2-3 and lose it's ability. i have no idea why this happens, but it does
I think my favourite thing to do with priest is buffing a polymorph sheep, then kill them with it. Power Word: Sheild + Devine Spirit + Inner Fire. 6/6 sheep xD
trying to get better at arena but i suck so bad i can only get one or 2 wins, don't know if it's the cards i pick or how i play them lol i tend to get most wins (in normal or ranked) with my warrior and rush hunter. i am new to HS and f2p but my rush hunter is pretty good, first game i played beat them after we got 6 mana and then next was after 9 etc, win loss with warrior in ranked is 7/2 and hunter is 3/0 so far but i am always getting better so in time i will hopefully get 5 wins in arena and make it worth :p
I don't understand it, in his 3rd game Trump buffs his Northshire cleric rather than the imp master with the power word shield and sacks the master later on. Why does Trump value Cleric that much over Imp Master? Buffing Imp Master with health effectively gives you more free imps to make, without needing to heal her immediately. Card draw might be good, but he had a few cards in his hand already and overdrawing can be quite bad, especially if you can't kill your opponent before fatiguing (improbable, but not impossible).
"Card draw might be good" is an understatement; card draw is one of the most important mechanics in the game. Drawing more cards than your opponent is the best way to increase your odds of winning.
Trump vales card draw extremely highly. If you've heard his opinion on fel reaver and (to an extent) gnomish experimenter, you might see a pattern in that he doesn't really mind having cards be discarded from his deck (obviously he would prefer not to, but he doesn't seem to mind too much when it happens.) In the case of gnomish experimenter, I believe he has said something like "if you don't go into fatigue, it's like putting that card on the bottom of your deck, so you might as well see the card as 'draw a spell sometimes and draw a 1/1 chicken other times.'" These are all things I noticed, but they MAY be incorrect as I am not Trump.
Does anyone know if that hunter card(i think it's steamwheedle sniper but idk the name for sure) his opponent had at 33:42 synergizes with priest? That would be cool if you could get a mini aucheni soulpriest from piloted shredder.
The card says that your hero power can target minions, the priest hero power can already target minions, it simply heals instead of dealing damage. that hunter card has no synergy with priest.
In game 5 he says killing dude with northshire over questing "worked" but the questing kills the northshire and the cultist, how is that working? Pretty much opponent's dude killed dark cultist. Also hate the windfury harpy over ogre play, and it was punished, and punishable by any big 6 the windfury harpy can't kill. Actually abom was one of the least bad ways he could have been punished for the switch. I get the logic, he doesn't want to play ogre and get humilitied in some fashion, but it turns out holding the ogre gave the opponent time to draw into aldor. And I think most opponents don't humility windfury if they're near full health and they can play over it, anyway. The good ones don't.
So when could people bring constructed decks into arena? I mean it's fo rogue which is arguably the weakest class at the moment but that still seems a little too good. That shaman had a very constructed-eque deck as well o_o
w1q2e3r4t5 yeah mage has always been the queen but i always liked the tempo swings that rogue cards brought and after GvG i looked up some guides and all of them ranked rogue top 3
Am I the only one wanting to be able to skip the draft, but not skip the commentary and the prediction before the gameplay? Jens, could you make a second button, it's not hard at all, is it?
lol at the first game
what was that? mech rogue constructed ? :P
That rouge got an outrageously good draft/start. OUTRAGE!!!
RAGEEEEEEEEEE!
men that guy is getting 12 win wtf such an insane deck, tought it was constructed for a second daaamn
I know right?! Dat rouge....
ROUGE ROUGE ROUGE ROUGE ROUGE ROUGE ROUGE
Eqrm n Red indeed
Trump you should do an arena run when you pick all the worst cards out of your three choices it may be a short where you go like one and three but it might be interesting
He did that for April Fool's Day.
He already did this. Search for "Trump sickest draft ever"
But it was a long time ago. It would be fun to do again.
Praise the Sun 1st of april is close again :)
How is going 0-3 interesting?
In game 1, clearly no one told Vladis this is arena, not constructed.
Vladis didn't get the memo that this wasn't constructed.
"This is an excellent arena deck."
Meanwhile I was thinking: "This deck is trash. It's definitely below average."
Edit: HOLY COW that first Rogue was IN - motherflipping - SANE!
I doubt that I've ever seen anything quite like that before. And I've played over 1000 arena runs, so yes I have seen some crazy shit over the years.
Over the years.
Abebil3 A year and a couple of months is still more than one year :p
TheDutchAssessor Implies at least 2 years.
Just let me sound like a wise old man, will ya?
i lost an arena to a mage who had a turn 5 Voltron... that was a really bad game (i was a warrior and he had a turn 1 snow chugger and i didnt have winaxe in my hand)
Man, watching him decimate those two warlocks was like a religious experience.
I love the Curb reference in the description. That's what came to mind when I read the title.
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" reference. Well played, Jens.
Holy hell that first Rogue....that does not look like an arena deck xD
Yes! I just wanted a new video and you delivered ^^ Thanks a lot for all the awesome content!
That rogue start was just insane... Looked like a constructed rogue-mechdeck to me lol
That first match just about sums up every arena match I find myself in since GvG launch. I about died laughing when it happened to Trump.
That rogue snuck in a constructed deck lol
Oh my god. That first game. Are you sure that was an arena deck? lol
How to know whether you have a chance against priest in arena:
Did they play Velen's Chosen on turn 3 (or 2 with coin?) If not, you have a chance.
That first game reminded me of the Rogue Mech deck that Trump made a while ago.
I really enjoy watching you man, thanks for all the amazing plays! Thumbs up!
Almost 400k subs jens! Good job man
That warlock was SO annoying....God i hate such players..
That's why there's a squelch option. Or emote back when you counter a play they thought was pretty hot shit.
FiftyFootMidget
all praise the squelch. the anti "thank you" priest.
thiethie or anti "WELL MET!" paladin
I wish that squelched players are denied from emoting entirely, instead of simply being unable to listen to.
I immediately squelch every opponent now. Lots of BM going around these days...
Omg, the first Rogue with her constructed opener.
Just a quick question:

I don't have any actual statistics, but that would be my feeling on the matter
yeah I am experiencing the same thing..
I almost always get only one or two wins
It's really gotten harder due to the amount of buff to 2 drops and really strong cards like Summoning Portal
Averaging 7 wins with only one 11 win run seems very strange to me. That's around where I'd estimate my average to be with almost one in ten runs going to 12 wins. It also includes a few streaks of runs with 1-3 wins.

That rogue was basically playing constructed -.-
wtf when did people let constructed decks in arena??!! that rogue was insane
Those first two games were hilarious
That first game.... dayum!
I really enjoy your arena runs :)
What did he "realize about arena recently?" He said that when he was guessing how many wins, but I didn't see this on the stream, and it was cut out of the video. Any insights? Jens, can you save me?
man I love trump, just started playing and went 12-2 on my 5th arena run :)
My last priest deck had 5 mind blasts in it. Needles to say it was my first 12 win :D
***** More like mind BLOWN!
just my personal opinion, but a better sudoku would have been to play soulfire first, and then play the flame imp
but really, its more of an art then a science
Dat mech rouge at the start lol
That first game - better start than constructed...
(better start than anything)
THANK YOU for 60fps :)
He said "Excellent Sudoku" at the end hahaha! I think he meant seppuku. Or am I wrong? What has sudoku have to do with anything?
That feel when Trump is playing Priest again.
Nice meme
What epic cards now is the most valueble?
mechs are op. iron sensei is actually even more ridiculous in constructed than in arena
Yeah, Iron Sensei is completely fucking OP. That card is so insane.
How is it op it has 2 hp, if you had any kind of board before he dropped him you can clear his board.
It doesn't matter how great a card is when the deck that can use it is not.
Mirza Ajanovic its better than houndmaster which is a 4 drop and is already an op card and only available to hunter. all you need is a mechwarper or annoyotron, and it becomes unstoppable quick, and if you dont have those its still a very value card,

Mirza Ajanovic member back when a 1/2 undertaker wasnt a problem?
You can Think of Valen's Chosen to be a 3 Mana 2/4 with Charge and Spell damage +1
i've found a bug (i think) if you switch the stats of a cogmaster while you have a mech out, it will sometimes turn into a 2-3 and lose it's ability. i have no idea why this happens, but it does
I have my rogue iron sensei arena deck constructed after seeing this
now i just need to wait until trump does another arena run
The first game hurt my soul.
the lucky page refresh lol
See that first game? that's exactly how my arena runs have been for more than a week.
Did he say sudoku at 45:42 instead of seppuku? Math suicide!!! XD
Trump have had arena bug. First Rogue was from constructed.
Dat description. Curb your enthusiasm?
How did that rogue manage to sneak in a constructed deck into arena?
I think the game accidently qued your areana run up vs a constructed rogue emch deck...
That Salty Dog sounds a lot like Kripp, doesn't he?
good video, I watched it 2 times
"Excellent sudoku" I do no think that means what you think it means
un bacio dall'italia maestro trump!
One kiss from italy master trump! thanks for all!
I think my favourite thing to do with priest is buffing a polymorph sheep, then kill them with it.
Power Word: Sheild + Devine Spirit + Inner Fire.
6/6 sheep xD
Only four spells? Trump is crazy
Wow someone got a golden Gahz'rilla. 36:06
trying to get better at arena but i suck so bad i can only get one or 2 wins, don't know if it's the cards i pick or how i play them lol i tend to get most wins (in normal or ranked) with my warrior and rush hunter. i am new to HS and f2p but my rush hunter is pretty good, first game i played beat them after we got 6 mana and then next was after 9 etc, win loss with warrior in ranked is 7/2 and hunter is 3/0 so far but i am always getting better so in time i will hopefully get 5 wins in arena and make it worth :p
***** just search hearth arena in google or bing and use that for all of your arena runs and your win percentage with increase exponentially
that paladin's deck was fucking insane!
I don't understand it, in his 3rd game Trump buffs his Northshire cleric rather than the imp master with the power word shield and sacks the master later on. "excellent sudoku"- Trump 2015
Does anyone know if that hunter card(i think it's steamwheedle sniper but idk the name for sure) his opponent had at 33:42 synergizes with priest? That would be cool if you could get a mini aucheni soulpriest from piloted shredder.
I believe the card specifies steady aim
But you're hero power already can target minions without steam wheedle sniper
Right. Derp on my part
The card says that your hero power can target minions, the priest hero power can already target minions, it simply heals instead of dealing damage. that hunter card has no synergy with priest.
It only synergizes with hunter. It was confirmed before it was released and tested after it was released.
Your skip draft button and all other links aren't links anymore.
45:42 I think you mean "seppuku," not "sudoku," Trump. Just sayin'. Upvote so we can improve his Japanese.
I think it's intentional.
It's a joke, a very common one. :)
i feel bad for you, kid. good luck out there, ya?
Nice Video
In game 5 he says killing dude with northshire over questing "worked" but the questing kills the northshire and the cultist, how is that working? Pretty much opponent's dude killed dark cultist.

That shaman had a very constructed-eque deck as well o_o
rogue is kinda strongest right now (after paladin maybe)
murtiesty
... Are we talking about arena? If so, I suppose it might be, but I thought mage was always top tier arena and then priest.
w1q2e3r4t5 yeah mage has always been the queen but i always liked the tempo swings that rogue cards brought and after GvG i looked up some guides and all of them ranked rogue top 3
'This one is a tougherino'. Is it me, or is Singsing getting everywhere these days..
velen chosen is so strong in arena
I think you accidentally broke Hearthstone and queued up for constructed that first game. Ouch.
wow that first game lol
everything says 1 hr ago but there is no video ... JensLied
Chosen over thought steal?!
45:41 Well exelent sudoku/ LOL?
LOL that 1st lost!
That first rouge was disgusting.
Iron Sensei is OP.
> pretty good start
> after first game - 0/1
rofl
First match. Is that Arena lol
Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
Your soul shall suffer!
dat first game
oh dear
I love watching bm spammers get there's 18:18
Does anyone have a mechs mage mid budget deck for me ?
lmgtfy.com/?q=Mech+mage+mid+price
www .hearthpwn.com/decks/154176-mechmage
Thats too expensive ! I need a deck with some more mechs, i have a lot of them
SAM HAM
You can easily replace the rares with other mechs or basic cards; the piloted golem and unstables are not necessary for a full on mech deck
MrTheBigNoze Last season I was rank 15 now i cant get past 18
GET BACK YE SCURVY DOGS
iron sensei is such a broken card tbh
Greetings
Hello Hello Hello
Oh god
C'mon stop dislikes!
***** fuck off maybe
Am I the only one wanting to be able to skip the draft, but not skip the commentary and the prediction before the gameplay? Jens, could you make a second button, it's not hard at all, is it?
25:23 Trump is a dog
I fo for 11 wins
I wish I had 3000 gold ._.
Trump vs Random idiot arena player. Some of them really need to reconsider how they make decisions in this game.
