Thanks for video. I did this, but now the home screen blinks about every 30 seconds.. like it's trying to find the next screen, and then realizing that there isn't one because I turned them all off. Is there a way to fix that?

How do you make the time LARGE & centered?? I have a bunch of artwork dominating the screen. They time - temp & day/date is flushed to the left for corners. Thanks. And thanks for speaking slowly. It's so helpful & makes it easy.

This works mostly thanks. Still get the occasional interruption and I notice when you interact with Alexa and it returns to the clock, the screen will pulse light and dark for a few minutes. I’m guessing it’s attempting to change cards. Hopefully this will get ironed out.

Perfect - just what I wanted
Latest echo show 5 3rd gen does not work like this. They've buried the menu system in such a way that every time you try to make a change it pops back to the settings screen and you have to start all over with the clock and home screen settings. It's also now very slow to bring up the display you selected if it ever does. It keeps on going back to "Try this next..." then if I touch the screen it shows a blank background forever. no clock is showing either. But if I touch it, it goes right back to "try this next, with a sall clock in the upper left. I've truned off all content, set the clock to classic, set night mode to always on (so no more notifications) and still tit takes 5 minutes to go to a full screen clock but not the one that I chose. Aaargh - very frustrating!
Thank you! I live in coastal area where power goes out often due to storms. Echo then resets itself to defaults and I always forget how to set this.
