I got one of these from my mom NOT FOR ME!! (Although I do enjoy messing with it) but for my daughter, she's only 15 mos but she loves turning the cars on and watching it go. It looks really neat at night, I'm not sure why it didn't look bright to him, but I think it's neat. I have no complaints about this. I got a big set with maybe 20+ feet, 4 cars, 2 bridges, and lots of little traffic cones, street signs, stickers, stuff like that. So I think it's awesome if you splurge for the bigger one but all in all, really cool and kids will LOVE IT! Ask me any questions!
I’m sure my baby girl under a year will watch it for a few minutes and the second baby is coming in about four months! My first baby is six months right now.
@@KristinaLouiseLombardiAwww, congratulations!! You're little ones will love these, even just watching them go round as your hubby fiddles with making some cool designs. 😅 We like making a hamster wheel. I bought the 25 or 30ft one, that came with 2 cars and a bridge and a lot of sighs to set around the track. Didn’t have any trouble with the cars breaking. Bought it for my 3yr grandson and the cars and track took a beating didn’t break rip or tore in any way shape at all very very Durable!! Would highly recommend to anyone interested in this. Bought it at Walmart for $25. Was and is very happy with purchase. And would buy again. The only thing is if the cars go off track beware they will go underneath your couch kinda a pain to get too considering how I had my couch set up. But that’s the only thing which is not the toys fault just giving a heads up and should block so wouldn’t have to dig out from couch or stove. Best thing to do is block those Areas so you won’t have to fish them out.
My kid had this toy and he liked it, but only rarely played with it. He tended to break the track into small pieces and then they'd get scattered all throughout his toy bins, so he wasn't usually willing to go to the trouble of finding enough track pieces to play with it. I also found the noise of it really annoying. I was under the impression the track was supposed to glow, but it didn't glow at all. My kid ended up playing with the battery powered car on its own more than anything.
I am so happy you reviewed the Magic Tracks.. I got two of these for my 2 older grandsons , and they love it. I'm so pleased it seems to work so well. Thanks so much. I love your reviews, very thorough and honest. Subbed.. :)
Put tracks outside in sun for five hours and did not make them glow. Also when it says how many pcs of track you get they fail to tell you to count each pc of track separately. The track comes in sections but those sections are made up of smaller pcs and that is how they count them. Have multiple cars which are nice but some run slower than others so you cannot put multiple cars on track. They catch up with each other and then push each other around. I do know if you have a problem, call them, talk to service and they will fix the problem. Very good about that.
You could maybe try"pre-lighting" the track with the Bell & Howell bar light, then turn off the lights and see if the car lights can keep it glowing. Maybe that'll work.
Okay, I received my order today and it was as specified (much to my surprise, although looking at the packaging did not confer confidence in the length of one track. It did add up to about 11 feet. That would be four packages of five track sections each for 11 feet total. I'm going to rate this one feature of the cars as a design flaw because the track is designed to follow whatever configuration you set for the tracks, uphill, downhill, and curved as you please. However, if you add only a modest hill up or down to the track, especially if combined with a curve (or maybe even no curve at all depending on the track elevation -- I simply used a three-inch high box, a shoe, and a small tape measure case laid on its side to create inclines and banked curves with the track), you will find that the cars will leap, fall, or throw themselves from the track because of the torque produced from the cars being "rear- wheel drive." Imagine if the cars were "front-wheel drive" and "pulled" themselves up the inclines that are available from the track design. I would rather have a car that loses traction on the incline rather than one that flips itself over backwards and off the track on a steep incline or fly off the track if the track suddenly goes downhill. This is caused by the relative speed of the cars and by the torque from the cars being rear-wheel drive and being very short in wheel base. Leaving the track due to poor positioning by the "track configuration expert" (that's you and me), is the only reason why a car would leave the track. I put three "Harbor freight bargain" AAA batteries into the red car and it seemed to run as fast as what I've seen on RUclips videos, and after five minutes of running, showed no evidence of slowing down. The "glow-in-the-dark" feature is best left up to personal perception, so being designed for young children validates it as OK. I plan to have a great time with my grandson and this product because at four years old, he's talking about "kinetic energy" and such. So, if this company wants to sell more product without the complaints related to cars leaving the track for whatever reason,--- MAGIC TRACKS, WTFU AND MAKE THESE CARS FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE. Your customers will love you for it, and personally, I will buy more cars if you make them "front-wheel drive" and market them to previous customers minus the confusion associated with my initial order.
Yes, I was reading that putting it out in the sun would help with the glow "factor" - so I am going to let mine get a couple hours of sun on my deck before I try it out. Because from my viewpoint, the glow is the main attraction and the reason that as a grown-ass woman, I bought this. I LOVE lionel trains and all of that stuff. I'm also going to try to buy some flourescent stickers and/or some glow in the dark paints to slap on my cars. You have never met a bigger kid than myself. And I absolutely love your reviews. You are awesome, very thorough and forthright. Thanks a bunch.
Well I have one of the cars for this. Walmart had them on clearance for $7. One thing I find with them is if you spin the back wheel with no batteries installed or the car turned off the lights briefly light up. I guess the small motor inside is working like a tiny generator.
Buying from the so-called "official" page may result in being double-charged for shipping as well as a $1.00 web processing fee. Buying from a retail store may be cheaper after all.
Samantha And The Volume. Oh well. I kept saying no and added another car and all I can say is I hope my grandbabies like it. They will each have one set.
My fiance bought this toy for our 2 year old son. He enjoyed it... Until the car broke about a month later. He threw it a couple of times lol but the replacement cars are expensive! Also, for those who have kids that will take the tracks completely apart, they hurt like hell when you step on them! Worse than Legos lmao
awesome review!!! glad to know the glow in the dark aspect doesnt really work- this was touched on by another review i saw on here... still might buy this for my kitten since he wont care about that fact- and i loved your dog!!!
+Willie Gordon ...the cars leave a blue light streak when they're driving, and it's so cool that it doesn't matter if the tracks glow or not. 5 lights on each car is pretty cool looking. ;) would have been nice if the tracks glowed, but for 20 bucks each, my Littles love playing with them. batteries last a long time too. ;)
you might want to check the wheels for hair from doggies. my hair is really long, and I had to mess with getting it out of the wheels. it doesn't glow in the dark for beans, but it is a pretty fun toy. got two of them for my G kids, and found myself playing with the cars after the kids had gone home. LoL! nice review. my review is just ok. you did good! the tracks actually DO come apart, but they are so tiny that it isn't worth it. some people said you couldn't take them apart but were wrong. I think the cars are pretty strong too, and I LOVE the flashing blue streak ours made with all the lights in my hall on. it only glows when you have a light source really close to it. so nada on the glow. super fun to play with. we used the old big leggos and built towers to drive through. plus whatever the kids could find laying around my house. cheers!
Pet hair is a potential problem, in the wheels and on the track - especially if you roll it up. We put it around our Christmas tree, instead of a train hah. Your review is great because it shows kids playing with it!
I was thinking about getting this set for my toddler but after hearing all the damn noise the car makes Ima rethinking it.....lol. I was also looking into the twister tracks you mentioned and the vertical loop accessory looks pretty cool, until I looked into getting it. Damn thing will cost you what a whole set costs! What a rip-off!
I remember when I was a kid we always had to "charge" the glow in the dark toys by holding them up to a light for awhile. when we turned the lights off, the toys did glow. Would you say you'd have to do the same with the tracks?
I did the same thing when I was a kid! I had this directly under a light fixture with five bright bulbs for hours, but it didn't seem to "charge" like you are talking about.
I dont know what your issue is with the glow in the dark part of it... the 2 sets that we have glows just fine. We have both sets and my kids love this toy
That was 2016 so perhaps it changed? I've seen quite a few reviews that also claimed issues with the glowing feature. Maybe they improved it over the last 2 years.
Jus bought 1 for my nephew it's kinda crappy i got the mega set 2 cars 18ft of tracks and 360 peice the cars will not stay on the tracks when it makes a turn always running off the track everytime rolling it up is a mess too
I had a curious question. Will the usual toy train (of type classic train which comes with engine and 2 bogies) be able to run as well on this track (may be just the engine?
Not so sure it would work for the little trains people put around an Xmas tree. The track shifts easily so if it's a battery powered train, it would likely get stuck. It would work fine for Hot Wheels/ Matchbox vehicles though.
I bought this set but the one I got has two cars and a longer track. The kids played with it for hours and have continued since then! My grandson was able to roll up the track and put it in the green bag that came with th set. The track only glowed when we put direct light in the tracks like a flashlight. For some reason regular house led lights did not make it glow. Overall WE LOVE THIS RACE TRACK SET!

Bought two for my boys and one of the cars off switch stopped working. It gets stuck and can’t shut car off. Has anyone else had this problem and how can I fix it
my husband's aunt bought one for one of my boys and when my husband went to put the batteries in one of the cars it broke and then within no time the pieces of track broke into smaller pieces. I think this product is a waste of the money that she had paid for it.
El auto funcionó una semana . Ahora va considerablemente lento, aun poniendole pilas nuevas. Y al amigo de mi nieta le pasó lo mismo. Queria mi familia comprar un nuevo set, para ampliar la pista. Mi voto fue que nunca más compraran esa marca de autitos, porque es probable que volviera a pasar lo mismo.
Just got this for my 4 year old for christmas this year and have to say I'm kind of disappointed so far. First of all the car I got in the box didn't even match what was in the instructions. Instructions say it required 3 AAA batteries, however, the car that came in our box only took one AA battery which is covered up by a snap on cover, not one with a screw like the instructions say. So I was kind of like WTF. Also, since I think our car is only being powered by 1.5V vs. 6V it WOULD have with 3 AAA batteries, the car runs incredibly slow compared to how yours did in this video. I tried even making little tiny hills by just putting my hand under the track and the car wouldn't even clear it. We did order this from amazon so I'm hoping we didn't get some fake knockoff but everything else seems legit like the track pieces. As far as the track glowing, I'm going to say they probably more than likely used black lights in the room to make the track pieces appear glowing, which I'm sure not everyone in the world has laying around handy.
Love the review but OMG the porn music LOL! I have been looking at this product for my 5 yr old grandson you hit on some great points. Rolling it up looked like rolling a sleeping bag (ugh). Did you only test it flat? I was wondering how it works as shown on TV in a loop, think "hamster wheel".
Hah yeah, she is a little bigger now than when I first filmed this, too! You should watch her starring in this review, where she "attacks" me and has a metal "music video" haha. ruclips.net/video/jrWuV2Pna0Q/видео.html
First time I saw Magic Tracks on TV the other day...thought it was cool. I've never seen the "Crash" version. I'll have to look it up. But anyway, it's a good thing for people like you who show and describe how things work... I was going to get it for my 6 1/2 year old grandson...I'm not now.
im so disappointed I bought it 3 different times because the first two times the car wouldn't work so I go for the third time in the car still doesn't work I'm so disappointed and so angry my 5yr so upset he was so excited to get it for Christmas and hasn't been able to use it👎 product is a fail

Not really. A black light might help considerably.

What's the second song?
I got the same one at biglots for under 15 bucks
if you connect the track in a rolled up state, maybe it can be a track wheel
I hear Dead Meat's kill count intro music here lol.
How does the car recharge?
8 hours WOW!
It days 200 tracks? So are they little pcs
It’s a great product. I have the version that glows in the dark, other people have the dinosaur version.

Gracias por el vídeo me fue de mucha ayuda y vos sos muy lindo!!!
The guy who does this commercial on tv and a few other products sounds like he has not been to the toilet for quite a few days.
Bought two for my boys and one of the cars off switch stopped working. It gets stuck and can’t shut car off. Has anyone else had this problem and how can I fix it
Our car didn’t even move on the track even with the best batteries...it turns on but won’t run the track.
I like magic tracks!
they should make them USB chargable, no batteries, economic friendly and costs are much friendlier.... cmon we are in 2017
What is causing those green lights in the background looks cool I like to get something like that 👍😜
Xmas Led leaser. 2019 😆
Thanks for posting!
Thanks a lot for this video!
They glow, but the room has to be pitch black.
What they should have done is use UV LEDs like the ones for the 5 second fix glue.
That is a brilliant suggestion.
battery life would also depend on the battery. if you used Duracell those may last 8 hours, but some of the cheaper brands may not last as long.
That's a good point.
my husband's aunt bought one for one of my boys and when my husband went to put the batteries in one of the cars it broke and then within no time the pieces of track broke into smaller pieces. I think this product is a waste of the money that she had paid for it.
This was a great review
magic tracks has a two for 1 offer right now. thanks for your RUclips video. Show it operating in the dark next time?
Thanks!
Did you try exposing tracks to sun for better glow in the dark?
Is compatible with the magic track xtreme?
I get magic track too
Great review!
It was kinda funny seeing you use that huge screwdriver to unscrew such tiny screws 😂
What type of batteries does it require?
Brad Braddock AAA batteries
3 of them
Is this store in Edmonton? If not what store in Edmonton would stock them?
I'm pretty sure I've seen this at Target and Walmart, among other stores.
Charge the tracks in the sun?
Dog hair sticks to everything, but the dog
You didnt have the set with the pieces all separate it was a nightmare lol
Do R.C pocket racers
Freakin' Reviews thanks and good review
It lasts a long time
3 pets? Is this before the cat?
put the tracks outside in the sun to charge the led.
does that work? the sun comes in my frontroom window. I should test it out. ;)
What then wait till it gets dark?
Lol
There is no LED to charge!
It's the material, that is fluorescent.
you're so stupid. led? LED?
El auto funcionó una semana . Ahora va considerablemente lento, aun poniendole pilas nuevas.
Never have, never will use it. Thanks bra!
Dog's review? How many paws up or down for this?
I don't know if she wanted to play with it or attack it, but she gave it 6 out of 5 stars. :-)
Ha ha, A friend got me one of these, so I'll entertain my dog with this, lol.
I was wondering how it works as shown on TV in a loop, think "hamster wheel".
the hamster wheel works super cool. AND, you can reshape it so it is at an angle and goes in circles. it worked!
Teri Smith

Thank you !!!!!!!!!
Hi
I love it
Great review! I'll pass on this item. That dog is bad ass!
Hah yeah, she is a little bigger now than when I first filmed this, too! You should watch her starring in this review, where she "attacks" me and has a metal "music video" haha. ruclips.net/video/jrWuV2Pna0Q/видео.html
Wot is neo traks
Donde puedo conseguir uno me urge por favor
En Amazon
My hsb and little one play for hours. I bought 10 packs.
Great review . Doesn't glow though
Yeah they need to improve that. Their new "Crash" version isn't any better.
First time I saw Magic Tracks on TV the other day...thought it was cool. I've never seen the "Crash" version. I'll have to look it up. But anyway, it's a good thing for people like you who show and describe how things work... I was going to get it for my 6 1/2 year old grandson...I'm not now.
Dead Meat bb!
Pro tip. Hampster wheel
Anybody
I love magic tracks there are the BEST! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK?
im so disappointed I bought it 3 different times because the first two times the car wouldn't work so I go for the third time in the car still doesn't work I'm so disappointed and so angry my 5yr so upset he was so excited to get it for Christmas and hasn't been able to use it👎 product is a fail
Not sure of the point of this toy, there is no interaction of the toy and the person, just watching a car go around the track seems a bit mindless.
It's like a Lionel train for kids who can't be trusted with 120 volts of electricity!
Bailey doesn't like it...I don't like it!
