It's a shame you didn't stop by Oriental. It's been my full time home for 20 years and part - time 10 years before that. Love the area and the community which has attracted an eclectic populace. The common thread is that we all sail until the accumulation of years leads us to "graduate" from sail to power. Some of us fish and catch crabs for the crab cakes and crab soup Fresh drum and speckled trout can't be beat. We number only about 850 souls and the community reflects the fact that every one knows most every one else.
We would have loved to stop in Oriental and will have to make a point to visit next time we are that way. Thanks for watching and sharing your story. We love the small town vibe! 😎
As a Canadian living in Oriental it’s fair game to say that it’s the Neuse River not Noose River. Next time stop here and visit Nautical Wheelers and the provision store. You can walk to M&M’s for food & drink, too !
Quite possibly the most beautiful part of the southern east coast. Food, nostalgia, and possibly the friendliest, most accommodating people in the United States! Enjoyed your sharing. Thank you!
Looks like the travel was rewarded with one fine looking meals. The trip seemed smooth and except for a few boats giving you waves to handle all looks well. Hate it that you are leaving the South just when we are getting our normal toasty time. Enjoy
That was a nice cruise through all of those nice houses along the waterway. Wish I lived in one of them. 😁 That looked like a delicious dinner y'all had. I wouldn't mind eating dinner there.
There certainly are some very nice waterfront homes! It was a delicious dinner at Spoon River Artworks & Market and one that previous loopers had recommended. If you are ever in Belhaven, look them up! Thanks for watching!😎
Very nice. That cruiser that passed you at speed early in the video was not very courteous. He was kicking up quite a wash. Belhaven looks very enjoyable.
Hi Gary, some boats seem to be in a hurry and we certainly appreciate a slow pass when we get one. Belhaven was a cute little town with some great food!😎
Thank you so much for sharing. Beautiful video. You may already be there but whenever you are in the Chesapeake Bay, let me know I would love to connect with you as I've really enjoyed your videos. I can direct you to some beautiful anchorages and some great places to visit if you're interested.
Thanks RF Dinesen! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks so much for your kind offer. We really appreciate it! It takes quite a bit of time to produce each episode and in real-time we are already past the Chesapeake area. We enjoyed our time there and you will see it in upcoming episodes. We know that one could spend a whole season there and still not see everything in the Chesapeake Bay. Thanks for following our journey.😎
I spelled Neuse River correctly in the episode notes and realized RUclips incorrectly labelled the chapter’s so I’ve corrected it! Thanks for watching😎
I grew up in Beaufort, NC. I grew up knowing "Boat people" from all over the world.
How interesting to meet people from all over, all with the common interest in boating! Thanks for sharing!😎

Great looking food and scenery.
We agree Perley! It was a delicious meal and the Belhaven area was quaint. Thanks for watching!😎

Hi Randy, Belhaven was very welcoming to loopers and offered some great restaurants. Thanks for following our journey!😎
Your choice of score for each video is always spot on. Seems like a few days of smooth water
Smooth water is a good thing in our books. Glad to hear you enjoy the musical selections. Thanks for watching Tony!😎
Bellhaven - nice marina. The restaurant meal looked delicious!
That was a good marina wasn’t it?! They were welcoming to loopers and that meal was probably one of the best on the loop.😎
So nice to watch your video's!
Hi Wilma, so nice to hear from you! Thanks for following along!😎

Yes that was probably one of our best meals on the loop so far! We enjoyed our time in the south and we like it warm but not too hot!😎

I have not seen this part of the country. Great video
Glad you could experience something new. Thanks for following our journey Patrick 😎

@@staycool123 So sorry I missed you. Have a safe rest of your trip.
Thanks again and happy boating😎
Another great place to stop is Dowry creek MARINA. Great people, courtesy car, free washer and dryer.
Thanks for the great tip Larry! Hope you're having a great day!😎
