@GN Didn't see your question until just now. She was more irate over the events that transpired to have Hamlin still win after the driver change anyway. After the change it was have been a duel between Wimmer & Leffler until Hamlin got involved & won. If Almirola stayed in the car throughout the race & won, I think she would have been more accepting of that race.
Was at this race and had season tickets for the NASCAR races in Milwaukee. What a great little track. Incompetent promoters ruined it....I hope racing comes back here.
Do you know what happened when Andretti stepped in to try and promote and it fell apart? Was he just met with nothing but roadblocks from the state fair?
Tyler Loughridge that’ll be great but they’re already taking the stands apart to sell. There’s also talk about taking track down and making room for more fair parking and more fair grounds.
Almirola won the pole again, at the AT&T 250 Milwaukee Mile, but thought he was going to give up driving duties to Hamlin again; Hamlin's helicopter was unable to land in time for Hamlin to make it to the track, so Almirola started the race, leading the first 43 laps of the race.[ On lap 59, during a caution period, because of sponsor commitments, Hamlin took over for Almirola while he was running in the third place. Hamlin went on to win the race, but Almirola was credited with his first NASCAR Busch Series win because he was the driver who started the race. Almirola did not participate in team victory celebrations after the race as he had already left the track. Credit to Wikipedia
i miss this track so much i wish some nascar series would come back
This is probably the most infamous race in Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity Series history...
2002 Aarons 312 would be up there

That’s what the masses don’t know

It is coming back!
It's good to see that they have come back!!!
I believe that NASCAR as it is set up NOW would provide the MOST EXCITING and CLOSEST races in history of track NOW in all 3 top series.
I'm glad racing returned there. Maybe one day NASCAR and IndyCar will race there again and I'm talking the cup series

@@richyrich0621 They have 2 events scheduled this year there. I’ll be there, was at this race too. Needless to say we were pissed.
Wow I miss this track being on the schedule.

1:10:57 the most infamous moment in xfinity series history.
Nascar. Get a race here it will draw better than many of your current tracks.
That would be the worst way to get a win. Poor Aric
He just won the xfinity series race at Daytona and said, he never accepted the trophy from this race. I never knew that
MYYYY BBBAAAAACCCKKKKKK!!!
@@jraybay I would smash that trophy into 3,000,000 pieces and give it to Joe Gibbs on the way out. I don't blame Aric one bit for leaving.
Jeez I miss this track. Also screw you to Rockwell Automation.
Didn't Rockwell move to RCR for 2008 anyway?
@@scottpeters371 Nope. Rockwell was with RCR from 00-02. Then went to JGR from 03-07. Then left the sport after 07.
That Nickelback intro, though.
Nice race
What track and field event did this air after?
Think it was the airing of the 2007 NCAA Championships.
@@racermac1988 From where?
This was such an awful deal. ESPN was so rightfully outraged.
