Can you provide the written name of the different grasses and other forages grown and used on the farm. If possible the scientific name and the characteristics of the forages. Great content, More information on the variety and type of forage would make it more complete. Again thanks for the great content .

I have Alpine goats and chickens. It is not necessary to have meat unless the season is bad for milk and eggs. To much meat is unhealthy and makes the body sick. Eggs provide more protein than meat. Wholesome raised small farm/homestead Eggs contain 98%, meat 96%, and raw milk 94% human required protein. Bees for honey, fish ponds also.
Thank you all so much for sharing valuable knowledge. God bless.

    Proverbs 27:23‭-‬27
Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations. When the hay is removed and new growth appears and the grass from the hills is gathered in, the lambs will provide you with clothing, and the goats with the price of a field. You will have plenty of goats’ milk to feed your family and to nourish your female servants.
    Amen and Amen

A short addition to my man on the facts that he speaks from 5:00: A good genetic strain can even have international importance because some nations are very protective of their specific genetic strains in lifestock (e.g. Germany about their pigs, Japan and Argentina about their cows, the USA about their Chickens, Mongolia about their sheep etc.) and if a country built a good reputation for their genetic strains the animals from that country are inherintly more valuable if they come from one of these genetic strains.

If you take your herd off of the grass to graze then where are you getting your fertilizer to grow the grass back? You'd be left with using synthetic fertilizers or compost and extracts to get your nitrogen, right? I'm holistically grazing our pastures and it s allowed me to completely cut out chemical and synthetic inputs which is saving the farm tens of thousands of dollars a year

What about fire if it will break out and what precautionary measure immediately . appoint some people's and train them fire system . What about flood and cyclone precautions and land slides .
Create one water blocking concrete or stone wall that prevents water not to flow to farm .
