K's groundstrokes are solid if they remain low with pace going over the net. When they stay low, the ball is more tighter in the court, when he hits it more than 3 feet above the netcord, aiming higher, the ball tends to sail long on him when hitting it flat so that's the danger for him he has to hit his shots low over the net to stop the ball going long....... On the big serves K. don't always have enough time to turn and hit. So he might want to just stand your ground for those big serves for if he turns his head away from the serve when its coming in toward him he may end up hitting it late. K. has enough clearance over the net for that big flat backhand drive, its definitely a weapon because it skims the ball quite nice and low and flat over the net going deep. 11;46 At the higher level you need to clear the net lower with the big flat drives because they won't be very effective if the ball sits up too much on the baseline if you aim the ball too high over the net. I like how the ball stays down flat and low going deep down into the court to keep the pressure on the other guy for him to have to try to clear over the net and maintain the same speed of velocity to stop himself from hitting short or weak. It puts more pressure on him when your flat drives go deep and stay down low and skim in the court. This is totally different tennis to what you see rec club players doing with all the slower loopy tennis. Who hit the ball more higher over the net. But at this higher level, the ball is more flatter with the spin.
@@Olly_2024_ seen all 3 up close in practice and matches. Obviously Novak is amazing, but his grinder game justdoesn't have the wow factor...at all. Both Roger and Rafa up close are like superheroes. Nadal's spin...and Roger's hands up close are surreal.
@@micah_wong Get to the ball early... That's the key, get to the ball early to set up and time your shot better. Swinging late or early isn't good or bad, it depends on the scenario. If you want to hit the ball cross court, hit a little earlier, if you want to hit down the line, hit a bit later. It's all about the type of shot you want to hit at that moment. The reason why he was hitting early was because he didn't change the direction of the ball a lot. Most of his rallies were cross-court where he didn't change direction to go down the line, but let his opponent do that instead to have more errors.
That POV is awesome once again... Though I’m sure you didn’t want to get into a 30 shots rally 🤔 you should do a collab with GoPro so they found a mount to replace your mouth 😂
Interesting. The sound effects were hilarious! I guess this perspective appeals to people because it reminds them of a video game? Personally, I love when the camera is down low but still shows both players (I think it's referred to as "court level").
Can you do a “day in the life” or even week in the life of a pro player? How much of the day is dedicated to tennis, practice, working out, even the business side? Is it 40hrs/week or 24/7? How much time each year does a pro take completely off?
This is really helpful Karue. It's good to know that even at high levels of tennis, mistakes happen...however the shots in between mistakes are much smoother and appear to take less effort than what I see at USTA 3.5 and 4.0. This POV makes me want to focus on developing smoother technique not just hitting the ball hard.
It is great to see how fast things move and how quickly you have to react for sure. I would be curious to see a split screen of your POV camera in your mouth and a back fence camera. It might show how different it all looks when you are on top of the ball. Thanks and great stuff.
I have the impression that with Giron points ended in winners usually, whereas here you see a lot more unforced errors. Nature of the level? Anyway, once I read something along the lines of 80% of points ending in 4 or less shots. It shows here. Amazing how short a set actually is when you remove the time in between points!
This view is awesome, really clever way to film your POV. I hope you can find a more comfortable solution to still get this view, it’s just perfect. I see why chest and top of head don’t work, this level helps track the ball best
Everything looks so damn fast compared to any other view, even right behind you. It shows how much precision is really required when swinging with so much racket head speed.
In addition to all the great things that others have pointed out, what stood out for me as the most impressive part was how easily you were able to maintain the perfect distance between your body and the ball. That is the biggest challenge I face in my game and often find myself wrong-footed. It looked almost as if your opponent deliberately made the ball bounce in your sweet spot for you to get there just in time, at just the right distance. Please share tips for how to do that or if there is already a video on that please share that? Thanks.
Feels silly to say but the differnec between a good club player and a great play really feels about how well you play the kick/top spin. Some of those backhands being returned around your head!! Think my time has passed to ever really conquor that.
The guy who hit that shot would win the point. Unless his opponent crosses the net without touching and hits the ball as well and the other guy couldn't return it, then he would win the point.
Hey Karue. Nice video man. You put out some great content. When you have time, can you make a video about adding lead-tape to the racquets? I noticed that you're only using 1 strip of lead tape on the left side of your racquet.

Great video. I was wondering if you could make a similar video but with more rallies - beginners like would find it very helpful like learning how to position hands etc.
Hi Karue, thanks for the excellent idea. Could you also try using one of the wider settings on your GoPro, like 'Superview', then we should be able to see your whole swing. Just a thought. Cheers.
Yep I'll play around with it. Only reason I haven't gone full wide is because it will make the opponent look like they are a mile away so it feels a bit odd. We'll see how it goes
@@KaruesellHQ Cool. Got to be worth trying. It'll make the ball seem to be coming at lightspeed, but hopefully we can see your swing more completely. Cheers.
Hi, thanks for your video. For me, when I play tournaments or represent my club team, what is difficult is to plan my day for a lot of things to do. Program my day to get up, eat, digest, warm up, play competitive tennis and recover. I have so much to do, that I do not do what is important. I happened to have three matches in one day and it was not easy to plan my day and prepare to play the semi-finals the next morning. I hope this gives you some suggestions for a new video, which can help a lot of people. Thanks.
hah, I could feel Karue's adrenaline level going out of control at 5-4 and the pressure on Clay at 5-5. I could see the ball bounce clearly but did not see the preparation behind the camera. Karue hit some of the low balls and short balls very hard + flat = I can't do that. I was surprised that I didn't "see the ball through the racket net" like most coaches tell me. I guess the pros don't need to see the ball hitting their rackets in order to make clean, solid contacts. Great view. Thanks.
Any chance you could record camera in mouth for POV but also behind for court level? It would be interesting to see the videos side by side. Love the channel.
I love that POV perspective To reduce the chance for motion sickness you could remove the parts where you turn your head behind to see where a ball goes, mainly after a first serve that’s out or after the end of a point
@@sergiosimbula on the flip side, if Karue ever gets stranded on a camping trip, he will literally be able to bite a bear's head off after this jaw training.

Karue and Clay are still elite level players and Karue's "day job" is being the hitting partner for one of the undisputed top professional tennis players in the world, a multiple grand slam winner. It's not like he's a slouch at this, haha. You wouldn't see anything different visually, these are still some of the best tennis players on the planet.
Man, that was a great reply. You know what's up. Really there isn't much difference in terms of ball speed. It's mental strenght, physical strenght and executing the right shots under pressure. Props, my friend
