Picked up a refurbished model a few years ago for around 80 bucks. Decent little camera for those who don't want to pack around a bulky camera or use their smart phone. Wouldn't recommend it for professional broadcast or filmmaking use, though. Great for quick, short RUclips vlogs. That's what I've used mine for.
Great video. This zi8 is no longer sold for less than $100. The selling price new is $400, used it sells for $100+. It's a great little video camera, extremely easy to use but why such a high resale price.... I don't know
This is one of the last cams Kodak made before going under. Now it's some what of a collectable. It's an awesome cam even by today's standards. Time line of when things went down hill for Kodak :( - 2009 After 74 years of production, Kodak stops selling 35mm color film. 2011 Kodak shares fall by more than 80 per cent, partly because the company struggles to meet pension costs for its employees. 2012 Kodak files for chapter 11 bankruptcy.
I bought mine new years ago & used it a few times then put it away. I picked it up today & it was coated in brown sticky stuff like molasses. I figured out the battery went bad & oozed out the goo. I threw it in the trash.
How's the audio quality though? You didn't include that in the sample footage, and after buying a camera with terrible audio quality, I am very concerned about it.
Try to record a review in which the device's screen isn't aimed directly at an overhead light - causing glare on the device's screen & continuous challenges in viewing the screen information. (Also, what is "sturdy" video?)
can be a corrupted SD card maybe...try a new SD card or formatting the one you have, do it on a computer if can't be done in the camera....and then once it recognizes it, you can reformat it in the device
I just bought one used, works great.

OMG U HELPED ME WITH MY PHONE AT TARGET OMG
Mine zooms in too much. I make vlogs and it's just to close to my face. I want a wider shot, how do I fix that?
You could buy a wide angle lens for it, I found one on Amazon.
use a selfie stick to keep it further away and make sure the digital zoom is fully zoomed out
HOW DO I MUTE(STOP ) THE SHUTTER? everytime i click the camera or video, the sound is made which is not wanted if you are take a shot .....
Go into settings (spanner/clog icon) - click on the speaker icon and choose the left (muted) speaker...
THANKS = now i can take shots without being shot....
any audio input.
