Not true according to UAL own website for 2024. Carry on dimensions listed are still 22"x14"x9" same as they have been. Same thing for personal item dimensions.
I flew Alaska this week. They are it enforcing the dimensions! Enforce the rules. I saw a lot of people with huge suitcases that did not fit in the sample dimension container! Is frustrating because they keep begging people to volunteer checking in their bags so there is no motivation to comply.
Be aware of changed airline rules. Never assume. Don’t get smart mouthed with security, they are there to do a job. Dress appropriately for the country you are visiting, what is okay for your country, may not be in theirs, do your research, cultures differ. Double check on whether visas are needed, whilst you can get them online, some may take 24hrs to process. Remember it’s not just about buying the ticket, having a passport and packing luggage, these days there are many other things to consider. Use a list & ✅
Wear a multi-pocket vest and fill it with heavy items. Once you’re in the airplane, you can transfer those heavy items back into your carry on luggage.
This is false, the height for example can’t exceed 22 inches in this video they say 20 inches. The new changes set a maximum but also a minimum and it requires airlines to not force people to have carry ons smaller than 20 and bigger than 22. If the video makers can’t get that right …
Not necessarily. Depends on the airline, the latest changes, how fully booked a flight may be.. Things are getting tighter and tighter all the time. Never take anything for granted,and check carefully before each flight. Make sure your critically urgent stuff--medications, ID, phone, are in a small bag that will remain on your person.

You should have been doing it years ago but you let it keep doing it and doing it. I can understand for a baby or some one who has or needs help. But these woman and men to a lesser extent are at it all all the time and sometimes there isn't room for a small bag of passports tickets etc.

One issue though , not all so called window seats are ACTUALLY window seat . So they really need to make it clear where those seats are on the plane.
This why you check in before you come in. You can avoid the desk and not worry. And then you can check it at the gate if needed.

Then why does flight attendant has on and used it on the passager who threw a drink at the flight attendant.
So everyone who bought 21 inch bags that were correct now are forced to buy more suit cases

Just got back from a flight to Vancouver on West Jet. Both our carry on bags had to be checked, too big. They were 22x14x9
