That's exactly what Mark Douglas talks about in Trading in the Zone ie the emotional pain that comes from loosing a pile. That pain does something to you, it changes you you. It's where a true authentic respect for risk comes from. This trader knows his demons, and is not afraid to be honest about them. That's a human being right there
This is me. 45% drawdown in 9 months. Knife cuts every few weeks, a couple bigger hits but just a painful trip backwards. Your confidence gets smashed, you have moments of pain it’s almost unbearable where you wonder if you have the strength to reset and go again. Looking at your dreams that were at your fingertips and now far away. This is seriously tough at times. It’s NOT like the Instagram FURU’s make it out to be. As he said, when the alternative is 9-5, barely paying the bills and locked into mortgages etc for your best years…. You push past it and find the fortitude to start again.
@@dank2985 I feel you man. What you said hit hard. I was at a point I thought I was going to come apart at the seams as if two semi trucks were trying to split me a part. It was at that breaking point when it was the worst, heard a tiny voice just whisper. “Get up and try again…” I did reluctantly, hesitantly, but I’m so glad I did. That’s when I broke through my wall. Keep grinding man it will be so much more rewarding when you come out on top. Here’s to you!
@@ckweigand5574 I have never faced anything in my life more difficult than trading. It's difficulty is that it's simple. Sometimes I wish I hadn't entered this business But as you said, you must persevere and not give up, because it worth the pain. Thank you Ck & Dan
Love this guy's daily routine: meditation, trade the open, hit the gym, play poker. I wish he'd write a book. He really understands the nuances involved in trading that are not so obvious -- and the challenges. I admire the way he pushes through when things don't go his way.
Reading about people grabbing multi-figures monthly as income as trade profits even in this crazy days in the market. I've been diving deep into stock options.
The best way to find that balance between saving and living is by investing. The right trade can turn on a dime, usually the first $100k is definitely the hardest, but can easily multiply once cracked.
@Gregg Bartel The stock market may seem like a safe bet, but might end up declining in value depending on the whims of the market. I effectively utilize every opportunity to earn by trading crypto.
Love the vague generalities...here's a tip no matter what chart your looking at....above 50 ema bullish. Below 50 ema bearish....get greedy and you'll get slammed. Tight stops. And look back at the last 20 setups. Define your profit before you take the trade.....GL.
This is golden. In the same boat as far as being off my best year last year and this year has been dreadfull. Definitely eye opening to hear and its true. The grind will continue
It was so reassuring to hear about him having those days where it is impossible to stop yourself, although you should. I thought I was the only one to experience this :-D
That line of once you taste the freedom of the trailer lifestyle you don't want to go back it's 100% true I had a really good paying job for 17 years and I got a taste of the freedom that trading could give me and then six months I was out of that job training full-time and I've had some ups and downs I put them on my channel but what has pushed me through was this is something that I love to do so much that even when it gets hard I love to do it and I think I'm in love it because it's hard and not everyone can do it. But when you get to those points where you feel like giving up your love of the game pushes you through and you have that breakthrough well you're not making the same mistakes that you did before. Nice interview
good interview and insight as always but bruh you gotta get to the charts. listening to these guys talk is great but it would be nice for you to switch it up a bit and have these guys breakdown some trades.
You can find so many trading breakdowns, these interviews are so interesting and part of Alex's brand. Plenty of other places to find the content you desire 🤷
@@benlloyd9448 there's also many MANY videos on youtube where you can listen to interviews. I have a lot of respect for Alex and my comment was not with vitriol. My comment was meant to maybe possibly get more insight as to what it takes to come back from losing a million. If this type of information can be shared this is something that can possibly take Alex channel to another level. NOBODY on youtube is having verified traders on their platform who has come back from being down a million. If some visuals can be added to the commentary that would be next level if you will. See the problem with most people today they can't take constructive criticism. Criticism has been replace with the phrase "HE HATIN". There's probably hundreds of trading channels on youtube where you can listen to interviews. You don't think I know this. Would love to see Alex separate himself and continue to grow his channel. Hopes he reads this.
I've been there when you keep on trading and not caring about how much I lose. It's almost like I want to keep trading until I feel that relief from the pain of losing.
That was dope man. Good story. Might have to swing down there and trade with them sometime if i can. That would be sweet! Ya that disaster on FB, is the type of thing i worry about trying to trade more size for my acct.

Thanks for calling it gambling. It’s honest. I’m for it though, the market. The only difference is the result can be researched it’s not completely blind. Still risky but not as pressured as a table. You can count cards it would mean the same. But you can’t. Can you?
it is not being a materialist addict, if you cant control that greed of spending you're done. I prefer a homeless looking millionaire over an obvious "look at me" millionaire.

WHILE ITS EARLY AND B CAN SEE THIS COMMENT, FOR FUTURE INTERVIEWS CAN YOU MAKE IT A MUST ASK QUESTION , TO ASK EVERY ONE HOW DID THEY HANDLE THE PDT RULE IF THEY DIDNT START OFF WITH 25K
Cash account, multiple accounts, or futures.
Why would he ask everyone this question? Isn't there only a couple solutions? Come on man.
@@jsssm every trader has a different way of combatting it . Would be very insightful to hear it from every successful trader !
Trade futures.
This isn’t exactly a must-ask question. There’s only really two solutions. Get 25k or use a cash account. (For equities and options)
I need someone to shut my account down on max loss
Yea. Some brokers do that. Mine does.
