    This model is built on the same principles as the Beloved Yamaha TW200.
    It is a solid go anywhere easy to ride & maintain low horsepower workhorse.
    The higher weight and lower horsepower combination, along with the
    lower center of gravity, is what gives this bike that high degree of
    no spin traction that is so important in rougher conditions.

    I just bought one. I’ve had tons of Harley big twins over the years. All I can say. This bike is hands down my fav bike next to my 66 rigid Triumph. If you could only have one bike this is it a do all Mad Max. May not be fast. But I can cruise comfortably all day at 55-60 even with my ol lady on the back. And it’s fun!

    Fix brakes with sintered pads. Fix fogging dash with new gasket formed with rubber fishing tube. Angled bar risers transform the ride when stood up. SAS seats, north wales UK will reupholster the seat with decent padding for around £70UK (best option out there and will post to usa). Tec cam with 16T front sprocket turns power from slightly frustrating to liveable. I would avoid air filter upgrade if you use off road in deep puddles as more chance of flooding engine. Iridium plug. Replace stock headlamp bulb with performance philips city vision. Replace sump guard with motech or givi if going off road as enfield one is weak. Givi crash bars are good, be careful in those ruts due to extra width. Barkbusters a must. Upgrade cheap handlebars as will bend on first drop. Raise front mudguard with spacers. Install a decent chain. Pirelli mt21 tyres if going muddy or sandy, albeit stock not bad. Replace mirrors with double take indestructibles. You now have a fully sorted himalayan which can go anywhere still cheap.

    • @mysterybiker1717
      @mysterybiker1717 Год назад

      @@mattyb7736 i fitted the motech sump guard as looked more robust than givi and its a solid lump of german metal and surviving well so far! Ive only had a few drops with givi crash bars and so far so good. I fitted SRC headlamp grille as best on market and will protect the headlamp, as spaced off and really solid, most others are aesthetic, and SRC version can be popped off for headlamp cleaning. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Dont bother with the givi side stand foot enlarger, premium price and quality no better than cheap one off aliexpress, already falling apart and going rusty.

    I bought one just before Christmas and have already put 2000kms on her. I'm an ex Goldwing/BMW rider and I'm absolutely loving this bike. Have spent about 1000€ on mods and am having a blast. Am just about to put the 16-tooth drive sprocket and the Tec cam on her. Just for a little bit of edge on main roads, but for country lanes and off-road this girl is an absolute gem! Looking forward to my first Summer season on her.

    Another adventure in the dirt, it just doesn't get any better than that! Just watch out for those eastern diamondback rattlesnakes up in those hills. People don't realize that they do exist in our mountains as well as the standard copperheads. The Himalayan seems to be the perfect bike for those fire roads and a fun bike to ride, period! Great video and love seeing the beautiful southern scenery! Like that old country store. I grew up going to stores like that as a kid. They are of a bygone era now. Keep riding and stay safe ABUSA!

    The only thing I didn't like is the way the headlight is fixed. The Scram headlight turns with the forks and I might get that instead just because of the light. I really like the look of the Himalayan though. For what i'll be doing either bike will work. Logging roads and back country roads with a little exploring in the desert.
