Agree on the Cadenza. Replaced my Shuoer S12 because they are more comfortable. S12 are definitely more detailed but also more fatiguing.
Hey, how does it compare with EW200? Either of these is going to be my first IEM. I listen to all sorts of music from devotional to rock. Additionally, I want my IEM to be neutral yet have just enough bass and a crystal clear and detailed treble. So which one of these 2 would do my ears some justice?
Gotta agree on the Cadenza and Simgot being a solid duo. Maybe in the future a modded XSL X-One would be a solid pick under 100 bucks though people reported that a simple TANCHJIM filter preduce a better result but still a bassy set. The x-one has basically the same driver as the OG Dark magician so hopefully people could grab some of the original set's magic.
XSL X-One is awesome. No doubt. Especially modded. I hear the Tigerism is even better. Has the same Dark Magician transducer. But it’s over a $100 bux.
x-one is too dark even after the michael bruce mod (no trebble extension + too bassy ) i much prefer olina or ea500
Candenza is the better tuning iem then S12 and P1 max.
Candenza + P1 Max cable + Ru6 =end game combo
agree 100% with you about iem having a better sq/price +convenience advantage over full headphones. first, isolation is a big one because even in a quiet room you have a/c noise, street noise, laptop fan noise. second, not requiring a $200 headphone amp is the second big advantage, a $50 dac is enough power for any iem so that is $150 more to invest in the iem driver vs a full size headphone) .
speaking about driver, like most reviewers you say that the driver is more important than the amp/dac so is there not a better recommendation than btr7+cadenza where 80% of the money goes in the dac/amp for a total of $235 ? like $50 moondrop dawn pro + $135 s12 pro + $20 for eartips (like the final type e in 5 sizes to better match your ear size ) ?
Tangzu Wan'er in the ultra budget space. Seeing as you enjoyed the Cadenza, would be interesting to hear your thoughts as a lot of folks will recommended it over the Cadenza if you wanna save the $15-20. 7hz Sonus is a new one that some have also said is a cheaper Truthear Hexa.
Damn never heard of these IEMs until now
I miss my Cadenza. Sounded so romantic!
What happened to them?
Legato needs power, mine does not sound dark on high gain balanced using an Ibasso DC-04 Pro.
I can shoot plenty of power to the Legato with the stock 3.5mm cable with ifI Gryphon..😎
Nice review 👌 Well done. You Could've done without Background Music, its little distracting..
Legato needs power and wide bore tips. It sounds great at high volume. Try tri clarion or jvc spiral dots tips. Also get a 4.4bal cable and high gain.
Can u recommand an dac/amp to power up that badboy?
I've been using the Qudelix 5K with 2.5mm balanced for a couple months now and I'm loving it.
Honestly, tuning matters. The price can be high but if the tuning isn't that good, why bother?
MrAyit, Thanks Much !.......
EW200 better
