I know this is a very old comment but yes the ball is the same size as normal but it has little ball bearings inside with small holes. It sounds almost like a baby rattle.
It could've been an advantage for Nonato to be in the starting eleven...starting five I should say. If they would be eleven it would be an advantage ;) hahaa
Knowing China, they took some promising youth soccer players, probably the ones who just didn’t quite make the cut in the regular team and purposefully blinded them...

Goalies can be partially sighted or full sighted. They call a lot of instructions to players. Players are all fully blind. (I believe I read this, I'm not an expert)
