Thanks for the awesome video, I have a stupid question as I'm new to this, let's say there is an issue with the engine and I decide (instead of fixing it) to just erase the code, is it possible? because it will be dangerous. I'm asking because I imagine a situation where I thought I fixed the problem then proceed to erase the code, everything will look fine but it's not really the case as the problem isn't solved
Hello, if the problem still exists it will eventually trigger the codes again. Depending on the car and car manufacturer is how long it will take to trigger the codes again. This isn't for a long term fix, this is more for turning them off so that you can pass emissions, sometimes it was accidentally triggered or to trade in your vehicle. However if you plan on keeping the vehicle I would advise to fix the issue rather than just keep erasing the code. As I've learned the hard way a small issue can eventually create bigger problems. I hope I have answered your question.
Have you tried turning on the car? I had that problem at first because I wasn't doing it right. If it continues to do that I would just ask for a replacement.
Sorry for the late reply, did you do it while the key was on, on(so your car is on but engine not started)? If so it may be defaulty and just ask for a replacement.
