I keep getting "No targets matched selector". I named my NPC "Marth". I tried the same on a player and it works fine, the player is forced to follow me. But on he NPC it is not working. Any thoughts?

Ok Got it to work. /Summon npc Marth. So if you summon it with a name it works fine for me.

Bro using scripts are a lot more effective but for us people who don't understand script's we have to find another way BTW this man made it harder to use than it actually is it's like a function command but can only run once not repeatedly you can also use c=1 for 1 entity only specify the identifier to be a npc so if player joins with the name "a" as well that won't happen or just use tags or just make an npc manhunt.
BTW at 7:20 he could just make it like:
execute @initiator[hasitem={item=apple ,quantity=1..}] ~~~ give @s gold_ingot 5
execute @initiator[hasitem={item=apple , quantity=1..}] ~~~ title @s actionbar exchange succesfull
