Even though I am only 3 to 4 hours(by train) to Paris, I have only visited Paris city once. Loved it much. Other times only at Paris airport two times. Would like to go again. Never been inside Louvre museum, or on Eiffel tower as the queues were big. I have visited other beautiful cities and towns in France. You should try to visit Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse ( where Airbus aircrafts are assembled), old city of Carcassone etc etc. Paris is not like Paris before...too many pick pockets, criminals around, many strikes of public transport, vehicles damaged etc etc. Just do not walk around in the night with too much money, expensive gadgets, smartphones, or jewellery.
