When I was homeless in Johnson City Tenn, waiting to get into college there, I lived under a bridge. I had this cassette on a walkman, and I played it over and over, till the batteries froze. It was the middle of winter, Christmas day. That night I almost lost my life, due to the cold, but I survived and went on to graduate from ETSU. I design and fly airplanes for a living. Thanks Phil, you wrote the sound track to my life, and I am eternally grateful. I know he will never see this, but I am sending my love out to the universe. Thanks.

Wow . Iba a preguntar porque Phil Collis canta en la banda génesis ? . Pero leí tu comentario y wow , pensar que mucha gente escuchaba esa canción en su automóvil y tú allá debajo de un puente sufriendo la soledad pasando hambre y frío ,no se como no enloqueciste.Recordé el libro del “ principito” donde el piloto de avión solo en medio del desierto hablaba con el “ principito “ que nunca existió, y mira hay historias reales parecidas a un libro😢
Iconic! Honestly in my opinion one Of Genesis' best unappreciated tracks espically in the album . An extremely underrated track, with such great meaning, lyrics, and instrumental too it. Genesis, a true one of a kind. What a way to end the year, and like always, All the best legends! 💙🙌

The Ricky 12 String Absolutely Rocks This Song.
The lyrics remind me of his solo hit "Another Day in Paradise". There, too, he took the side of the poorest of our society and drew attention to them in order to nourish the hope that their suffering would be alleviated. Unfortunately, it is still as relevant today as it was then. Thank you for this social commitment in music!
