When watching “tour” videos, it’s nice to see all these unique vehicles that people are able to live and travel in to get some inspiration for your own vehicle dwelling adventures, but I think the real uniqueness and inspiration lies behind the wheel.
The reason WHY people chose to live like this. The things they experienced along the way. And the change that it brought out of them are all so much more interesting in my opinion and this video was my attempt at putting that twist on an over saturated video format.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed watching this video as much as I did making it. And if you did, please let me know by liking, commenting, and sharing it with a friend and maybe I’ll do more documentary style videos like this of cool people I meet on my adventures. :)

My girlfriend has been promoted to only having to work 1 day in her office and is now almost fully remote. They aren't hiring tho 🤣. So many people Mackenzie's age seem to be frozen with Mental Health issues yet here is someone who has risen above the challenges she has had and embraces life. We can all learn from her. I think the pass-thru from the camper to the cab is fantastic in this kind of RV. Much safer than a traditional pickup/camper, especially for a woman traveling alone. If something seems sketchy, you can just drive away. Nice Rig.

She is 100% real and on point. She's correct about all the half started broken dreams. There's tons of busses and vans that can be bought where people started, got overwhelmed and gave up. There's more broken dreams than there are completed dreams. My parents had a 77 Toyota Muskeet. Made in Montclair, CA. It had the 20R 4 speed manual. Muskeet was only in biz for a few years and never made it big but I sure wish I could find one. That's what I took my driving test in when 16yo to get my driver's license.

I lived in a toyota mini for four years back in 2002 thru 2006. You learn to live simply and adjust to small space. Now, those times are some of my favorite memories. It is helpful to learn how to fix the basics of your motor on the 22R so that you don't get stranded along with the easily available portable air inflators. You can can add alarm systems to your van these days pretty simply. I used to study RV Doctor and they even have the Gypsy Traveller or something like that can't recall but groups that meet up around the country at cool sites to share info and have a group of people you will get to know. Lots of new technology to get internet now if way out. Some inexpensive solar panels to charge lights for night lights makes it simple. Good luck, be safe. Dogs help a lot for protection. Also good to let people generally know where you will be and check in with them: family or friends etc.

Absolutely epic story telling twist on the saturated van life like you say…I loved it…I like when She jumps in the cab and says, “this is where I do all my driving” I giggled and still wondered if she meant to be funny or it just struck me as a funny thing to say lol. I love it as a travel vehicle as well…super stripped down and livable, nothing fancy but still looks like a cozy home inside. The only thing I’d want different is to turn it solar with WiFi , put in an electric incinerator toilet and much more water storage for the occasional shower. It looks like there’s tons of room in there for lithium batteries and I personally just don’t want to mess with any alternate fuels like propane…but cinematically loved it. Great job (and I have watched a billion of these trying to dream up my perfect travel vehicle so that’s high praise from this girl)!

Fantastic young woman. Good for her! You Go Girl! Beautiful video! Well done! I'm 64 and still telling myself I can't get out there until I reach my FRA (full retirement age) of 66.8 yrs old, because I have absolutely no retirement savings, and just fair to poor credit. One needs a down payment and good credit to buy an RV. I've tried already, so it's a waiting game for me and hope that by the time I can retire, I'll have a little bit of savings and better credit to buy one, I hope. I admire these people who are doing this lifestyle early in life. They have figured it out!. I can't seem to get out of the high rent life, which has always kept me in the paycheck to paycheck rut. I've always worked what's considered low paying jobs. Paying back high interest student loans and every thing else in this "modern life" we carve out for ourselves only leaves us worrying where our next meal will come from, and the fact that we're only one paycheck away from homelessness. I know I'd be able to save money if I got out from under the high rent and utilities rock if only I could buy an RV like her's and live full time in it!
Thank you for this inspiring video and God bless that young lady and keep her always safe.

Hello, I am a first time watcher who hadn't planned on subscribing until I heard what you said at the end. RUclips makes building out a van look easy and glamorous. It's not! I built houses and did remodeling for 45 years. I can tell you it is no where near as easy and glamorous as they make it look. Plus you need some major tools. My service van was broken into one time. A new table saw, mitre saw, cordless tool set and my air nailer cost right at $5,000 to replace. If you are not an electrical engineer or experienced carpenter I would agree with you. Buy an RV. The manufacturer has already figured everything out for you. Then as you said hit the road! Go enjoy. My wife and I have a 2006 42' Monaco Dynasty diesel pusher. I couldn't even imagine trying to build out something like that. I am subscribing now. Be blessed and enjoy.

Trent, your videos are by far a cut above. I have heard you say you do filmwork for a living, and it shows. So kind of you to showcase Mackenzie. This will give her a boost in followers more than the 1k she has now. She’s smart and beautiful, and these type videos are professionally produced content you are creating with fellow travelers you meet.

This was such a great video. Loved the way he shot it. You heard him off camera once and you see him in the side view finder smiling as he's filming and the music was very moving. Loved this🩷👍

Even an electric mini motorhome is possible, but will they make it without expensive, remote control for everything? Doubtful ! I just bought an '84 Toyota for $3,200. - they are out there.

If we don't pursue activities alone it'll never happen. Most of us don't have loving family to assist, nor a parcel of friends to join us. Life doesn't work that way. I wish many happy trails to this young lady.

She's 22, on and off the road for 5 years. She started this journey with an ex-boyfriend who had a Class A motorhome. Now that would make her 17 and how many guys even close to her age have a Class A Motorhome? That's the story I'm interested in.

Good for you! Great thing to do when you’re young and free. I've got a Toyota Hilux ute (that's what we call them over here) with a 22R engine. It's been going well for 30 years with more than 250,000km on the clock and my mechanic said the 22R engines are the best there is - everyone loves Toyota vehicles here. So reliable. Best wishes from Australia. Have fun.
