Best Organ-only Version of "Zadok the Priest" by Georg Frideric Handel

This is a British anthem that was composed by Georg Frideric Handel (1685-1759) for the coronation of King George II in 1727. One of Handel's best-known works, Zadok the Priest has been sung prior to the anointing of the sovereign at the coronation of every British monarch since its composition and has become recognized as a British patriotic anthem.

Father Willis certainly built some very fine organs over the years, perhaps most notably at Salisbury Cathedral.

It's a gorgeous organ. In the Hauptwerk versions, I prefer Hereford over Salisbury but they are both great organs. Thank you for listening. 🙏
