Next time you have the chanc3, boil crabs or shrimp in fresh coconut water, especially shrimp, you won't be disappointed
The fish are called mudskippers in english. Our grandma used to live near a mangrove delta, we used to terrorize them as kids, getting muddy in the swamps.
Thanks for commenting 🙏
Thanks for filming Dustin. 😁👍🏼
No problem 👍
I love these videos, keep em coming.
Thanks, will do!
Epic 👍🏻
Oh my that crab looks soooo yummy.
The 2004 tsunami was brutal, I was living in Jakarta at the time and flew over the devastated area, the destruction was mind blowing to see even from 30,000 feet
We were part of the US JTF cleanup crew. It was horrible.
The little fish are called mudskippers
hope your vacation is going well Dustin.
Thanks mate
Happy Cornish boy cookin up some crab. Just like being at home eh.
The Orange stuff is called Tomale Spanish. like Chile today in Hot Tamale that's how it's pronounced. now you generally don't wanna eat that in the modern era because that's where radioactivity and toxins like Mercury and other stuff tend to get collected in crustaceans so you don't wanna eat it even though it tastes great.
Thanks for commenting 🙏
Hi from Thailand Fan love your video and I leaning English from watching you
aesome
That is a Snakehead fish. The Snakehead fish have evolved to “walk” on land! They propel themselves forward by moving their head and back fin in opposite directions.
Luar biasa , sangat suka menonton nya
Mudskippers. The pine is the Cassowary pine. These are found Taiwan down to Queensland. I have a home in Hong Kong and planted a few from a nearby beach in my garden. They like salty earth mostly. Crab looks great. Beats Cromer.
A cracking watch as always mate 👍🏻
Thanks bro 🙏
Fun video! Thanks for sharing!
Budd; I believe that they call the Yellow Stuff from the Crabs "Butter"! I think it is for Reproductive Purposes! (If so ", Just think about what you are eating!? Although I'm sure that it has some kind of Nutrients in it! I always enjoy watching your programs, and of course, learning various wilderness lessons & Hacks! Nice 🦀! I would've Loved to eat that myself! 4-sure😋! I think I would cook it for about 9-10 minutes in boiling, Hot Ocean Water! Just ❤ The Show! Thank's Alot for the Adventures! GBU.,SM.,NZ., ✌❤🙂👍😎🙏🏿! 😘🦀
Dustin in the future use the back of your machete or knife to break those shells or other things as it will keep your blade sharper longer and not damage the cutting edge.
Thank you for putting the crab out of its misery first ❤ I genuinely appreciate this. So many channels just start dismembering or cooking animals with no thought for suffering.
That's why I don't buy meat especially wild animal meat ( sea animal is different story
Crabs and lobster are cooked alive
I love these videos
damn that noisy coconut lol
that crab put up a good fight, he really hates being poked RIP
loved the video my brotha
Thanks for watching
Good job mate an excellent bit of tucker. Our "muddy", has to be a minimum 150 mm across the shell to keep, so you can imagine the size of the "popsicles" (claws). We call those "fish" mudskippers here ( Aussie), I'm not sure on real name but Gobi rings a bell, could well be wrong. Always enjoy your content. Thanks
nice video! keep it up
Thanks, will do!
Survival - NO, Camping - yes
A Dustin a day keeps the doctor away
😆
Your tropical survival videos are the best.
Are you able to say in what country you are filming?
You are wonderful 👍🌺🛶⛺️
Ok. Before I proceed to watch the video. A section of the intro you mentioned a fish that walks on land. I've seen them before. They're intelligent, cool looking..but I keep having a nightmare about stepping on those damn things and feet burst into flames 😂. I'm not watching this video. Cheers
New subscriber here, fellow Brit working for Land Rover Thailand. Let me know if you are passing through Bangkok! 🍻
I'll be back in 3 weeks.... send me a message via instagram (link in my latest video description)
I think fish that walk on land are called fishermen 😃
they are called mud skippers
Those fish seem to be some kind of mudskipper
That’s ausi glamping
Oh and you brought water too?
Thailand is known for being hot. Its located only 15 degrees above the equator, hot hot hot year round amigo. As for mud crabs they are also prominent Down Under, cant believe this is the first time catching one?
Thanks mate 👍
Little trouble drinking from coconut
True 👍
Bro you look like Joel from the last of us.
Nice video, what's the location
did you bring a pot?

Legend 👊
I will die the first few hours trying to make fire
🔥
it is weird, you are the only person that i see that sit on banana leaf
I guess better than sitting on mud.
Any crab and any water will do, suppose we'll cooked will be important.
HOW MANY TIME YOU WILL BLOOOODY SAY "LOOK AT THE SIZE OF IT
I cringe when i seecrabscooked in fresh water. Seawater all the way
You did not use fresh water to cook a mud crab... use salt water
you cooked a mudcrab in fresh water, please let your veiwers know not to do that
🤷
Why shouldn't it be cooked in freshwater?
Because it's not hot enough
@@jimbo7092 is boiling freshwater not hot enough? At what temp does it need to be cooked?
That is also animal cruelty. Constantly teasing the crab, either you catch it to eat it or you leave it.
Hahahahha
Should work on your crab catching skills bruh...10min to pic a crab from plain ground. U wouldn't even caych a single one in mangroves..lol
:D
Survival? With bottled water and big kettle.
You wanna see him like cavemen’s or something?
If youre watching this for learning anything for survival do not do anything this man does. Most of his videos give poor advice and he seems like hes a city kid whos trying to learn as he goes on these trips. Hes very unprofessional and will land people in very drastic life threatening situations.
นั่นคือประเทศไทยใช่ไหม
Yes
Kap
Nothing funnier than listening to a Brit trying to pronounce anything in Spanish. Tamale is more like " T'Molly".
Omg. That thing is so nasty. I would starve for sure.
It was soooo tasty!
How is this survival? If you end up in a real bad situation that leaves you needing to survive you normally wouldn't have a fire starter a pot and a big knife
Well, you just s*** on about 7 generations of new englanders, including my entire family Well, already then see ya.
Think they are called mud skippers, but do not know proper scientific name.
Dude, just kill it if you gonna.
Don't mess with them an hurt them if u can't even pick them up lame
so more than half of your video is catching and cooking crabs? how is that survival?
You call this survival? Hahaha. Most Boring survival video i had watch
Could have done without the cackling mate…
U need that tiny, articulated tripod. U could then put the camera down, frame the shot and pick the crab up like a nirmal human being
The walking fish are called mudskippers
How dramatic do you need to be just to get a hold of a bloody crab
I’ve kept mudskippers. They are very tame and will eat out of your hands readily and can get quite large. They are awesome critters but getting harder to find in the aquarium trade.
FIRST, WOOOO! BEST RUclipsR, 10/10!! Thanks Dustin for another awesome adventure, these island videos are amazing!
You're the best!
Survive on a tropical island, have delicious crab dishes, find island foods, and stay healthy.
Thank you and glad you visited Thailand, I'm a Thai who has been following your channel for more than two years now 🙏❤️
you've wasted half of survival video handling a crab?
That fish on land is a mudskipper. It loves to hp around when the tide goes off. They are edible in large quantities due to their size, in South east Asia and china, but they taste muddy. To remove their muddy taste, they need to be kept alive in a tank of water without much sediment. a few days is good enough.
Where can I get that same machete?
A KENYAN MANGROVE CRAB. IT'S CLAWS CAN RIP A TANK APART!!
In his next crab hunt, Dust will remember to bring tongs to make it easier.
Haha. Great comment 👍
I was surprised that the crabs were so few and far between.
They were hard to find. Thanks for commenting James 👍
Try steaming your crab or cooking it directly on the coals. Boiling washes out a lot of the flavor
that crab looks so tasty x.x
would be cool to see you and Field days do a dual survival thing.
I don't think I've ever seen you look hotter... Did you run from winter? I'm sitting here in -20 c! That looked fun! Watch those crab, don't want any more chipped teeth!
Mud crabs are best cooked in the seawater they came out of mate. Saves on your fresh water too.
The aussie seems not too Bush savvy lol😊
How do I contact you Dustin? If ever you see my comment - please contact me! I am reaching out to you because of my unquenchable desire to experience island survival 😍🙌 (With a possiblity of never leaving 🤷🏼)
Oh and you brought water too? Camping in an area you are familiar with..... I like these videos for what they are but bro this isn't survival.
All in here I believe this was all of them bushcraft was made with software it's the easiest thing in the world I am a man similar aged I think this is the funniest thing ever I am from america friend of fed gov all of it have a good day america a winner
Another great video Dustin! Nice catch on that crab.
Just bring the damn stick back with your crab man
Those fish are called " Mudskippers. "
youtube does allow it
I'm glad you had an arrow pointing to the cooking pot because I would never have guessed what that was on the fire. (I'm being sarcastic).
😆
We need links to your knives already
You got him, or ... maybe he has you.😢
Muddy the mud skipper
The fish that walks unland is called a mud skipper
Thanks
👍
Great challenge
Thanks John
