I may not be making the big bucks, but writing is beyond even my passion, it's my reason for living. Even in my darkest days, I have written stories. What does writing mean to you? Why do you do it?
Such an important question! i've been pondering upon exactly the same thing for some time now, ever since it was first asked on my first semester of creative writing years ago. And i'm happy to hear someone else's take on it, moreover someone published :) For me, writing is just inevitable. I can't escape it. It's a part of me. I walk, I breathe, I drink water, I write, I run, I eat. Tried to leave it and find something more lucrative, but no. It's also amazing to hear that someone else has the same problem as I do: no writing block, just the issue of time and energy :D Just found your channel. Thank you for this material and your take, I'm on my way to check out more of your content and some of your works:) Sending much love from Poland xoxo
I lost touch with my artistic confidence and with it my love of art and writing, it felt like my entire sense of self died. I didn't know who I was outside of that, but I eventually recovered and found that I still loved illustrating and writing. I won't die just because I don't produce as often as I used to-- though overcoming my creative insecurities and perfectionism is a different struggle. I face it with a healthier mindset than before. This video helped me meditate on a lot, thank you. I love your energy! :)
I'm glad you're in a healthier place. Balance is so important. Today's world of hustle and commodification of everything can make it easy for us to lose sight of ourselves. 🙏💖💖💖
