Great analysis. Amorim is saying "what happens in the changing room stays in the changing room". I can't help but feel very excited by Ruben Amorim. He's definitely got that aura about him has alot of charisma & self belief aswell. The way je spoke & the objectives he's planning on implementing having a clear identify is musix to my ears man. My favourite part was when he said _"you will see an idea"_ on the pitch during the first game, which suggests he's not going to mess around. It sounds like he will immediately try to implement his ideas on the pitch, and not wait until all the players know everything he wants them to do. I would like to see him make early substitutions, if necessary, in the first few games if some of the players aren't doing what he wants them to do. It would be a clear statement that he is trying to make real changes, quickly, and figure out which players will work for him, and which won't.
To be fair, his probably seen a bunch of utd’s recent games and we have zero identity. Just a moment’s team that carry us through. Can’t get any worse by going straight into a new system. Recent games we have casemiro and ugarte keeps things tidy in the middle but same old problems still occur with our middle get cut open quite easily and regularly. I hope that any players that don't suit Amorim's style of play will be moved on quickly from here on out, no matter who they are.
You didn’t mention it sam, but I loved the way Amorim was talking about how the players should get there spark back and that he will make them all do the tour off the club to know where they are
Great show as always. I hope that the picture of the four men that want to do something special in this special club goes down in history as a pivotal moment in the rise of a new era. I hope we can look back at this moment and say, this was the moment when things changed.
I’ve never felt something for any manager like Ruben cause the way he talks, if these players believe in him and work hard together, we’ll be back cause we’ve got quality no doubt 🤦🏾♂️
I have mixed feelings, like a lot of fans, over the whole situation that has happened the past year, simply as we've seen it all before. It wears you down and it is a bit depressing, isn't it... Whether this is the new beginning under the new INEOS regime or just the same old routine, time will only tell. The same for the new manager. On a positive note, having watched the 12min interview yesterday, I came away from it feeling like "Wow, he seems like a really nice person". Charismatic as you say, but also passionate, grounded, he seems to be a lot more personable than many others that have come and gone. Whether that will make any difference at all, we shall see, but I think the team and the Premier League have a new and nice character, that's always a good thing.
Actions speak louder than words, yes...but words speak and they speak pretty loudly too. Speaking well is a big boost. It's not all he'll need to succeed, but its a big first step. ETH lacked communication skills, which may have been part of his undoing.
Check how Ruben Amorim dealt with undisciplined players like Jeremy Mathieu and Islam Slimani, you might get some insight how things will be in Man Utd. I am loving your work on Ruben Amorim since he arrived in old Trafford, keep it up
I liked the idea part. With Erik everyone struggled to see the ideas, the identity, to see the team. Let's hope now folks, the world is about hope so let's have some and really back this guy because he backs us x
Ruben said more in this interview than ETH said in 3 Years, hes so clear and concise and focused on what he wants to achieve , its will come down to the players comprehension level and if the players are can to adapt , if not those players are out!
Y'all are such word vultures. You care more about hearing sweet nothings than grafting on the pitch. Ten Hag wasn't here to make you feel better. He was here to focus on football and was doing a fine job until the players decided that their feelings were hurt and they wanted someone to hold their hands. Get over yourselves.
The best quote I have heard from this interview is "I will do everything for the team, I will defend my players if I have to, all the time, against everybody " now tell me that he won't be able to inspire this team. I feel like jumping up & running through a brick wall for Ruben myself.
RA in a press conference after a Sporting Portugal game said, where will a go all !! It was already a motto of the fans, but RA elevated and united an entire Club Be patient with the new type of football
I keep wondering that Man Utd is lucky to find these gems and at the same time is creating legendary figures for this sport....this club built in my opinion the greatest football player ever, Cristiano Ronaldo...now maybe you will help build one of the greatest coaches ever, since you already had the greatest - Sir Alex Ferguson! Go United! 💪🏻🔴
@pmlt8973 humm sorry but thats not true...Cristiano ronaldo wasn't already built for top competition when he arrived at Man Utd and the same with Amorim, he will need to prove his value in the most competitive league in the world...but he done an amazing job with Sporting in portuguese league and champions league! Sky is the limit for him...same with Cristiano when he arrived!
@@Piairom if I was a Real Madrid fan, with the same type of thinking, I could say that "Cristiano only became the real beast at Real". That's just your opinion - the fact is he was already a fabulous player, aged 18 yes and with much to learn. Amorim has already proven himself for +4 years, though the Portuguese league might not be at the same level as the Premier League, at the moment Man Utd would be no match for Sporting CP. He truly is a great coach, and above all a great people leader. Man Utd got the right one this time.
*What everyone including Sky Sport missed in the interview* 1.Amorim: “You don’t know my past, as a player. I played many positions for the team except goalkeeper and striker. So two positions, sometimes i had to stay on the bench for the team. This was his response to what was his working culture do you try to develop at clubs. 2.Did you not observe how he gripped that Red Shirt in a full fisted way instead of finger holding it up with fingers for the photo op. The interview was loaded but many missed the main substance
I think a manager and coach like Amorim deserves players who will work hard and be consistent. You get what you give and the players need to understand that if he will give everything then the players must do the same, week in week out.
The picture where there are Omar Berrada, Jason Wilcox, and Dan Ashworth , is that Ruben Amorim asked, can you guys play the piano while we train to give instruction to the players. Then they all laughed together.
I hate to say this, we had exactly the same excitement with Eric Ten Hag, even on this channel. Lets see how things are going in a years time, then we will be able to see what is going on.
Sam what a bloody good vid as usual. I bounce in and out of watching your vids, but damn kid you're channel is up there with the best, way above Sky and Talk Sport (being polite)
Great video Sam! Rúben is demonstrating the textbook version of everything Ralf Rangnick said, but in his own way. I think Ralf should update it because Charisma and Confidence both amplify Clarity.
I think people need to understand that the PLAYERS need to believe in the project. They have constantly thrown every manager under the bus since Fergie left. All of the dressing room leaks, the rumour mill is always grinding. This was never a thing under Fergie. Some of these players need to either start performing with the new manager or we simply get rid of them.
As Sporting fan i understand what United fans mean when they say "if he doesn't work Idk what i'll do with myself". We were nearly 20 years without winning a league title at Sporting. Until Amorim arrived i felt absolutely numb towards my club, i would watch some matches, turn it off, skip other matches, sometimes didn't even knew which players were there anymore because i just didn't trust the president, the board, nothing. So to me, that was not my Sporting... I can deal with losses, bad seasons, but the way the club was being conducted i knew, and many other fans knew as well, it just wasn't going to work. But with years passing by, eventually we learned from mistakes, we finally got a good president, that was very contested at the time because everyone thought it was going to be more of the same thing, and we got back in the right track. Everything slowly started to improve, our finances, our recruitment and we had a vision. Ruben Amorim was a bet, it could've gonne wrong but it didn't. So what i want to tell to Manchester United fans is, that there is hope, even if not with Ruben Amorim, you will eventually get it right, and i firmly believe it starts with people like Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliff changing the direction of where the club is going. Soon you'll start seeing the club rejuvenating. Amorim will get rid of players above 30 that do not have the intensity and your squad will have a new identity. Our current squad at Sporting has an average total age of 21/23 , soon you'll see that at United. He will use the academy a lot, he used to watch our youth academy players OFTEN, and he will improve the intensity and specially show a HUNGRY Man Utd on the field. The first year he will give a "body", shape, to the squad and the team, organization, padrones of play. The second year he will start to rejuvenate the squad, so this might be the last year for Casemiro, Evans, and any other veteran you may have. You'll probably see a lot young players coming through which might lead to some disappointments since they'll need time to adapt to the premier league and first team football. The following years, is when i truly believe you'll start pushing for top of the league, attract better players since you're finally in a top 6 position, and get close to be tittle contenders. I believe by the 3rd or 4th year you'll be pushing for a Premier League title. Observation: This is just my prediction based on how he did things at Sporting but this might get sped up since you are a club who has the money to keep the best players at the club and us (Sporting) were losing key players every year so the rebuild took longer. Don't get desperate, have patience and believe you are in the right hands. Support the manager, he is going to give everything he can to put United back to where it belongs.
We are again at the start of the honeymoon phase when everyone is hyping about our new coach. I get it and I will support this coach. But what I strongly dislike is hyping him up by comparing him to the previous manager. All the contradictory points comes out by doing so. Below are a few such points: 1. Coach is a great guy to his players. Will defend his players against the others. Siege mentality. I've also heard this about the previous manager... but fans, fan channel and media are calling him deluded when not calling out his players during interviews. 2. Coach need to implement a clear style/philosophy. But when we start losing (due to injuries and quality of our players), the previous manager is blamed for not adapting his game plan (e.g. moving away from his style) to fit on the capability of the remaining players he has to win games. 3. The coach/manager needs time and be supported. And the media and fan channels will start the countdown on how many games the manager needs to win or else the manager is out. Amorim may really be a good coach. His players at Sporting may genuinely like him. But we don't really know if this is 100% true as we don't follow Sporting to the details and yeah, winning can hide the dirt behind the team. He hasn't dealt yet with the players we had here in MU. Players like Casemiro, who I've never heard the previous manager criticize but seems to not play for his manager. Let's hope we all genuinely support Amorim and back him to succeed. I'm not gonna hype him nor any of the players we had (which aren't really quality at this point to the Yamals or Musialas). Will hope that they are given ample time to evolve the team to succeed.
Man. You've nailed it. They're all so hypocritical. When I heard Sam mention how Amorim is known for backing and defending his players, I thought to myself, "did we nor say the same thing about ETH? And then got mad and reactionary when we felt like he wasn't calling out certain players?" It's like, what do we actually want? All of your points were spot on because they are the truth of the matter. He has my support, but I hope these fan channels don't create the same mess they've been creating.
Haven't look forward to a match so much in years against Ipswich and Amorim giving these players a clean slate when many are not good enough, I'm dying to see will these players take to his system from the off and buy the philosophy and intensity he's looking for and it's that that I am fearing as many have let us down so many times and I'm expecting it again.
Except he doesn't play with 5 he plays with 3, and his wingbacks are essentially wingers - wingers in the traditional sense, and Gyokeres was an average player he's turned into a beast. No guarantees of course, but he's got my backing.
Like you Sam I'm praying Rūben is the one to bring back the glory days and identity - as regards your last comment, Unfortunately mate you're blonde like me. Very few blonde people can carry a beard off anywhere near as well as dark-haired people.. I've had several attempts but now just had to accept that the best look for me is clean shaven.. live with it mate, you're a good looking bastard as well anyway 😅
- If Rashford does not improve under Ruben, he MUST be sold. - The player im looking forward to under Ruben is Bruno because of the Portuguese connection. - Amorim has that Klopp factor about him, hence the excitement surrounding him!. - ETH came to the club when it was in a mess with no structure, Ruben is coming in at the best time possible a manager can since SAF left.
@kevingood5813 Short term: Consistency & Identity, monster mentality, secure European spots + win one or two cups Long term: Challenge for the EPL and Champions League

Hey Sam, you know I have alot of love for you and the channel. Feel we could have done more with this one. Still miles above the rest
Until he sees Bruno hoofing a 60 yards ball into the gloves of the opposing goalie when we’re desperately looking for a goal. LMAO!
Check how Ruben Amorim dealt with undisciplined players like Jeremy Mathieu and Islam Slimani, you might get some insight how things will be in Man Utd. I am loving your work on Ruben Amorim since he arrived in old Trafford, keep it up
As long as you have the backing from those above he can do this. If not he will undermined
Uggh good luck doing that in man UTD... Rashford have until 2028 contract..Bruno are until 2027
Action speaks louder than words. He looks calm though. Ruben give us the goods. Welcome to Manchester united
Is it me or is Ruben's interview / press conference aura sensational!
How you talk about this with such passion! I hope these people are as fans get behind it!
Cracking interview loved it love him charismatic the lot
another great video as always mate 💪🏻
Good job mate. Insightful précis 👍
The best quote I have heard from this interview is "I will do everything for the team, I will defend my players if I have to, all the time, against everybody " now tell me that he won't be able to inspire this team. I feel like jumping up & running through a brick wall for Ruben myself.
I think Amorim has more clarity than others... i can relate and understand him better .. "identity" is the key
Even when there is not much to talk about (cos fake Euros are boring) you still deliver. Nice work Sam!
RA in a press conference after a Sporting Portugal game said, where will a go all !!
It was already a motto of the fans, but RA elevated and united an entire Club
Be patient with the new type of football
he also spoke about character of the players and we have always had players with characters, personality and intensity.
I hope we have finally found our man , hes very charismatic, lets hope these players buy into his philosophy
Go United! 💪🏻🔴
both (best player ever, and possible greatest coach ever) were already build before arriving at Utd. Both of them, in the same place :)
*What everyone including Sky Sport missed in the interview*
1.Amorim: “You don’t know my past, as a player.
Thanks Sam for another great video.
And loved how he said our first match we'll see an idea
I hate to say this, we had exactly the same excitement with Eric Ten Hag, even on this channel. Lets see how things are going in a years time, then we will be able to see what is going on.
I hope He gets some youth gets in first team
For me, Im cautiously optimistic. Im not going to be looking too far ahead. Amorim has made the right noises so far by acknowledging the task at hand.
Sam what a bloody good vid as usual. I bounce in and out of watching your vids, but damn kid you're channel is up there with the best, way above Sky and Talk Sport (being polite)
Let’s pause with all the excitements and all, talk is cheap. Let’s let him do his thing and we can judge the results.
Ruben is the truth ❤
We are feeling really good about this gaffer. The interview was solid.
We've been burned before, but it really seems like Ruben gets it. Team over everything 🤝🏻
The important thing for me here is him pretty much saying the players have to play the way he wants to, no excuses.
Thanks
Got chills 20 seconds into the interview
Just the CONTENT SAM
Only MUFC legends can change and carry this club to their Glory days..
His interview was amazing
this man would have protected Greenwood, unlike some hypocrites...☝🏻😉
It's not up to Amorim have we not figured this out yet. It's those above that make these decisions
We are again at the start of the honeymoon phase when everyone is hyping about our new coach. I get it and I will support this coach. But what I strongly dislike is hyping him up by comparing him to the previous manager. All the contradictory points comes out by doing so. Below are a few such points:
Well said 💯
Time will tell it all...
Great video Sam
He is him❤️❤️
Love him already
And the biggest thing is that he doesn't want to be only the manager other things are important for him ever person
We here sam
We need players that have the club in heart and ready to fight
Haven't look forward to a match so much in years against Ipswich and Amorim giving these players a clean slate when many are not good enough, I'm dying to see will these players take to his system from the off and buy the philosophy and intensity he's looking for and it's that that I am fearing as many have let us down so many times and I'm expecting it again.
I hope our fans don’t expect too much. If you build it too high it will fall down
I totally agree with your assessment
Let’s just hope that it all goes well 😭
5ATB with very average strikers and no wingers at old Trafford, I wish him the best of luck
Except he doesn't play with 5 he plays with 3, and his wingbacks are essentially wingers - wingers in the traditional sense, and Gyokeres was an average player he's turned into a beast.
No guarantees of course, but he's got my backing.
This man will change United
Rúben Amorim will succeed!!❤️
How you defining success?
@kevingood5813 Short term: Consistency & Identity, monster mentality, secure European spots + win one or two cups
Long term: Challenge for the EPL and Champions League
@@jenkinsfrank7404 sounds perfect..might need some new players...
@@kevingood5813 definitely. He's got to be ruthless next summer and move on from players with no future in the club...e g Antony,Luke,Eriksen, etc
@@kevingood5813 definitely. He's got to be ruthless next summer and move on from players with no future in the club...e g Antony,Luke,Eriksen, etc
Same we all said the same things about previous managers 😅😢
came here to look for this video right after finishing the interview for myself, now to gain some perspective…
We definitely lost our identity since Sir Alex and Mourinho. So this is music to my ears!
With Ruben Amorim i can feel his feelings his humanity, with ETH i didn't.
He certainly has charisma and comes across as intelligent and committed, but he will need to be a Bloody good Salesman to get the players fully onboard to get the success that we all crave
What do you mean if the players buy in ? If they don’t, they will be sold. You think Rashford is surviving another manager ? 👀
Agree that line doesn't sit well with me. It should be if the players can buy in then they are out. Simple.
Let’s see it then. Very upset about ETH, but we move forward. Let’s get to work and see what you’ve got!
Manchester united are never dying attitude, that why our club has so many comeback win and that what we miss since Fergie leave
his name Amor I'm; Love I am........ Speaks volumes
I shouldn't, but man iam all in. Lets go GGMU.
Feels like a really good fit
we need him to bring us back to glory
You told the exact sane thing when ETH came 😆😆😆
And he'll eventually turn when the rest of the fanbase eventually turns on Amorim. The cycle will continue because we've hit the reset button.
A lot of fan channels and pundits are going to turn on this guy quick when he tells them to leave the likes of Rashford and Garnacho alone.
❤🎉lets reclaim the glory
Another 3 year cycle has begun
I hope not 😢
Empathy is Amorim’s strength it appears
Lets wait for Amorim
0:07 where Gyokeres got his goal celebration from…….
