    Wayne, thanks for the videos. Doing some research before I think about buying a Tommy Camper. My big concern is weight by the time you add everything in and onto your vehicle.
    Did your GVM upgrade alter the maximum axle weights?

    Hi Wayne, one of your best clips. I have a Tommy s6x on a pk ranger. Very interested in the fact you also have limited funds and live within your means. Im so tired of sponsored utubers who are payed to destroy vehicles in order to sell bullshit after market gear. I disagree about a winch ,extra 40 - 50 kg hanging on the front end. Your diff lock,a shovel and max trax are more efficient I feel,unless your one of the little dick boys out trying to destroy their sponsored truck. Regards Grant

    Hi. We’ve just been watching your video about your dmax. Just wondering if you could tell us the name of the business that makes the snorkels? We’re about to purchase a dmax and we’d like to fit a snorkel. Would really appreciate it. We’ve subscribed and found your video extremely informative. Thank you.

      Sorry I got mine from the manufacturer. They don’t sell to the public at all. Was a mate who arranged it.

      I have an ARB air compressor permanently fitted in the rear side tool box. It’s great. Sorry I haven’t had any dealings with that type of tire.

    I am so glad you spoke about the electronic rustproofing. I have never had a subject creating so much division. I’ll save my money for lanolin oil. Thanks.

    Hi Wayne when i bought my 4wd the dealer tried to sell me on electronic rustproofing. I did a lot of research and quickly realised that the only people who were confident it worked where the people selling them:) I like how everything in your world is done to a modest budget.

    The weakest part of the car is the whole front end, including axels, cvs, tie rods, steering rack and IFS travel. You didn't say anything about lifting the front, but disconnecting the sway arm will improve the flex dramatically.
    I mention all this as a heads up, because something ARB wont tell you about the rear diff lock is that in hard ground country (ie high country) the car will push the front end and if the wheels are turned on a step or in a rut, often the the toothpick steering arms will snap. I have broken 4 of them like this. However, there are some companies offering solutions for this.
    Point is, be careful what you do to the dmax, as it often causes problems elsewhere. Agree the rear locker gives you confidence, but given the strength of this car, in many ways I think Isuzu were right in running an open diff. Cheers

      Appreciate your advice. My truck is definitely more a tourer. Will always take the chicken tracks. Agree the front end has weaknesses.

    Most definitely follow your mods on the max on my either Pajero or Land Cruiser. The other half wants some decision making too. Great vid mate. As always very informative & educational. Cheers for sharing and happy camping. Stay safe. Greetings from C.I.

    Hi Wayne, could you please guide to the right direction where I can purchase the bash plate under the automatic gear box sump. Thanks mate

    • @CanopyCampingAustralia
      @CanopyCampingAustralia  2 года назад +1

      It was 3 years ago, I am fairly certain it was customoffroad.com ordered on line just for the auto only. I used the front one that came with the bull bar and the standard one that came with the Dmax over the sump.
