Having been inside the cabin of the Nissan Terra, Toyota Fortuner & Mitsubishi Montero, I would say that in terms of spaciousness the Terra and Fortuner wins handsdown by 3-4" wider than the Montero at the 2nd row seat. Cosole, i like the Montero short shifter and layout. Dashboard material quality, the Fortuner is more luxurious than the 2. On the Driver's seat, the Terra is the best for big drivers among the 3.
So another contender in the segment. These PPVs are all so similar, that pricing can not be ignored. And right now Montero is the best value of the bunch with a 250k discount on the GLS AT for the rest of 2018, which bring its current price down to just over 1,4M. Unsurpricingly Nissan is not offering that kind of discounts on their brand new Terra just yet.

Unless you are planning to put 500.000 km on your new PPV, does it really matter? If you can afford the vehicle, you can also afford to put cheap diesel in the tank, and its not like, there will be huge differences in consumption from brand to brand.

The Navarra with the 2,5 liter 190 hp engine is rated at 6,3 liter (MT) and 6,9 liter (AT) / 100 km, so actually lower than the D-max. I am a bit surpriced, the Navarra score lower numbers with its bigger engine, and I would not be surpriced, if real world numbers were somewhat closer together. But at least there is nothing in the numbers to support the idea, that Isuzu make more efficient diesel engines than other manufacturers.

However Europe is currently in transition from one test cycle to another, and there might be some small adjustments, when the transition is completed at the end of 2018. Terra provides good safety such as 6 air bags, blind spot warning, lane detection, all view camera, engine performance, riding comfort etc. but in Thailand, people look at interior/exterior rather than safety and performance so Terra sale volume is not very well. They want its look more luxurious than normal pickup truck so Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport are 1st and 2nd best seller in Thailand.

The 2.3 twin turbo Dci yes that's the new generation Nissan diesel, unfortunately for the Philippines this engine isn't coming anytime soon, I have emailed Nissan Philippines and they have confirmed it as well.

Impressive improvements in your review. We'd like to see your narration and camera editing to be better in 2019. More fluent, spontaneous narration and crisper and less overexposed shots. Nonetheless, the entry Terra is a good buy but for 2M model, I would rather go for a Pajero Sport or upcoming Ford Explorer (tho more expensive).

I really dig the exterior, simple but commands presence. Sharing few key visuals from its older brother, the Patrol, helps a lot. All the current competitor have terrible design. Fortuner looks so effeminate, Montero/Pajero-sport has very ugly rear, and Mu-x/Trailblazer with its mismatching sides. Everst look great, but should've looked more boxy like its american cousins, Expedition and Explorer.
hithummah the only thing that i don't like with the exterior is that it looks bland without the spoiler then no chrome on the rear plate garnish and side mirrors and lastly, the tires/wheels combo look small for its size but give it the spoiler, the chromes and the awesome bigger wheels of the old patrol super safari, it will definitely be a winner. i wish we could have one in the future.
This car is so mediocore, the exterior is good but the front looks boring same with 2014 Navara. Also the Interior is so yesterday, Nissan seems too lazy to develop this car.
@@blebla12345 One is not better than the other, they are just different. Drum brakes are cheaper to maintain, disk brakes are more fade resistant. Which is important on a racetrack, or if you drive 200 km/h on the german autobahn, but not on a family SUV doing 80 km/h on a provincial highway in Philippines.
Its difficult to make a vehicle, which is based on a pick-up truck, all that exciting. I would not exactly call any of the alternatives exciting either.

I have yet to see customized version of a terra and montero for overlanding trips, not a single youtuber built a rig for this.

How much the price?

Not nessesarely so with the modern ones with many gears, CVTs or DCTs. This is not an old Pajero Fieldmaster with a 3 speed AT.
