I couldn't relate more to your story as my mom has been a teacher all her life she's now 62, and that's exactly what happened to us, I lost my father 22 years ago, she brought us up with everything she had, I just don't know how to react to this video, I couldn't stop my tears throughout the video, I just want to say God bless and stay happy, lot's of love for you guys.

The way she talked about seeing kids learn and flourish makes me miss teaching. As a disabled retired teacher I do what I can with the kids in my family. Seeing my granddaughter at 18 months old learning has taken my mind of all my health issues and brings so much joy to me. Hearing her mom say thanks for the advice and tools that makes learning fun. Seeing this family and especially the mom help so many kids and their kids and grandkids gives me hope to continue to contribute to kids. This family deserved that house. ❤

A big house owns you. The back yard is absolutly stunning too! You have to work in it everyday. Would like to see this place in 2 years from now. It can make you happy or unhappy. Isn't it sad that in nearly every other western society, teachers are reveried and are high standing in their communities and they are paid as such, yet in America, the land of the free and the home of the brave, the greatest country on earth, can't provide universal healthcare as a whole, federal wage hasn't been raised or passed through congress for nearly ten years, and people are sick because they can't afford to go to the doctor, let alone call an ambulance if there's an emergency. The US government, it's politicians have got alot to answer for, while the elite rich have their ears, whispering orders that only appeal to them and theirs while in reality, people have very little say in what happens in their daily lives. It's sad that the US will spend trillions bailing out big corporations or on interferring in other countries wars, but can't sit down and start talking in order to care of their own people. This woman and her kids are a testament to that.
I'm also a retired secondary school teacher in the Philippines, widower but during my service i rented a house with my minor children. After i retired last March 2020 i got 5years lumpsum to restore our old house where my neighbors made it a dumping site for 13years.Now we live in a good but unfinish house to protect us from the heat of the sun and rain.Blessed are those who help the teacher there to have a beautiful and cozy house to live in😊To the team Extreme Makeover Home Edition and to other team builders thank you for building a house to a Teacher there because Teachers are Heroes the youth depends on them for their future🤗Stay safe and healthy all of you there🤗GOD bless you all 🙏😇💕
Watching from Germany it baffles me how you still build houses from wood. They won’t last a century, but they should. Why build a house if you know it‘ll crumble in a few decades and needs so much care? The story of underpaid teachers is probably the same in most of the world. We are the ones that save kids's lives, teach them, comfort them, solve conflicts... I'm very surprised somebody from that community didn't do something to help the single mom and a teacher sooner ☹

My father also died by a heartattack. A doc was right sitting beside him and helped at once with reanimation. The special heartambulance was their in 3 minutes, but noone could fetch him back, not even with electric reanimation.
