Steel targets are getting popular in both training and competition shooting. Most steel targets are made of AR500 which is hardened steel that can destroy bullets high intensity upon impact. Many shooters have been choosing steel targets because of the instant feedback. Their isn’t more a satisfying sound than a target ringing after hitting it with your shot.

The amount of lead pulverised and spread on the steel targets cannot be good. Paper targets dont have that problem.

I agree.. that is the disadvantage of shooting steel targets.
