  • Doing a hive inspection is one thing but doing it with a super on requires a little more detail.
Watch and learn how Queen Bee does inspections. These are the basics that can be expanded on.

Just started beekeeping. Thank you for the video. Will definitely make a turn at Johnsons. Those gloves seem to make working with the girls much more comfortable.

Love watching you work the bees. What type of gloves do you use?

      Thank you Marion 😊
The green chemical gloves from Johnsons work well for us.

Interesting frame design (made with dowels it seems) - haven't seen those before.
And no queen excluder between the brood chamber & the honey super?
    Enjoyed your video, thank you

Thank you for your comment Rudolf.😊
Yes they are really strong, a local box maker has been making them for a while now. We have them in the online shop if you want to try them out... www.bushveldbees.co.za
We only really use queen excluders where the queen keeps moving up...
But most are fine without them.
Metal queen Excluders are a bit of a heatsink in the colder areas like the Midlands, so not really good for the thermal regulation of the hive. But everything has its purpose and should be used with discretion.
      Keep well 😉👍
